Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

This was funny until I'd seen it too many times.

My fabulous assisted GAW lamb arrived this afternoon from Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 .
My first old one, my first two-blader that works, my biggest (4" closed, 3.25" main), nice and sharp, with excellent action.

Glad you like it, Jer. Enjoy it in good health my friend. Can’t believe it’s your first old one!!!! What the heck have you been doing all these years ? 🤣

I'm not a great fan of gin, but you know how it goes...🤷‍♂️😂;)👍

It’s never my first choice, but I don’t mind a gin & tonic now and then.

Roger that Barrett, you have missed absolutely nothing. I can some it up with one emoji " 🤮 ".

It’s obviously a very divisive vegetable. 🤣

Set aside for a few years, I decided to exercise this 4" A.Wright Lamb today!! Off to be stropped!!View attachment 3171174
I can't remember what wood makes up the handles;🤔 nice straight grain though!!!😎

Good looking knife, Charlie. Most likely rosewood, I’d say. I know Jack had some runs done in both African and Indonesian Rosewood, but I can remember if there were any big ‘uns, or if they were just regular ‘uns, or which were African or Indonesian or Canadian or what. 😵‍💫🤣

Duh!!! I've lost the history of that knife, Barrett!! Does that mean I have too many knives!!!!o_O
I hope not!!!??

Looks like rosewood to me, Charlie. I’m probably wrong though 🤣
Rhubarb aside, I think you might be right, Paul! I see red in bright light!!:D
Having sanded a few older knives like your's Charlie, lambs included, I found a rich reddish color emerge, especially when wiped down with laqour thinner.
I've learned not to do it often, ruins the character.

I'm just about to go to sleep here, but can't let you suffer any longer Charlie - it's Indonesian Rosewood! 😁👍
Nice Big one Charlie, looks like Rosewood to me as well 👍
Looks unanimous!!! The Rosewoods have it!! Thanks for the opinions everyone!!!! 😁
