Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

"NO SUBSTITUTIONS!!!!" A friend of mine once asked if he could a ham AND cheese sandwich, and there was Hell to pay! 🫣🤣

LOL! My wife and I still laugh about this... as newly arrived Americans living in North Yorkshire my wife was attending some sort of outdoor event organized for the ladies (can't recall exactly). Anyway, the British hostess was handing out sandwiches for lunch. Standard sprouts, or cheese, or ham. My wife asked the same question: don't you have ham AND cheese? The scathing look made her select the ham sandwich and be on her way!

Thanks Mitch, been nice enough my friend, sunshine always helps :)

Maybe they've managed to get through to Wright's - Make better knives, you'll sell more of them! :D Unfortunately, I doubt it!

Thank you Bob, it's the one the Buttered Fingered Oaf nearly ruined! 😖 I had a nice afternoon buddy, and am hoping tomorrow will stay clear ;) Hope you're having a good one yourself :)

Thank you :) I'd never seen any Ironwood like this at the time, we got a good run that year I reckon

Thank you my friend, it's been very pleasant :)

I sure hope you get some Bob, that is bad news :( Great pic, that really has classic looks  Tell Cosimo I have hammers for him, but he needs to drop those spun pins

Beautiful shot Steve, I hope it brightens up over the course of the day :)
Browsing the thread, just curious what all the knives in this post are.

A lambsfoot from Willem in South Africa. Enjoyed my walk this morning.

That's my street. It isn't as deep as it looks.
Lovely weather for ducks Jer! :D
Great name!
Speaking of names, I think the new one's name is GeoW, pronounced 'Joe'.

I'm not working today. I wonder who's in the mulch pit.
More like mulch swamp today, I should think.
Very good Jer :) Good luck to your mulch partner, and I hope you enjoy your day off :)
Beautiful wood Steve :)
I'm not sure even a training aid would help Tool Man 🤣
Probably not David! :D

LOL! :D And yet cheese and ham is such a great combination! 🤷‍♂️😂👍
I rarely photograph the other side of the knife. The pile side gets all the disrespect 😂. Last shift of the week!!!!

Three row’s from the bottom 😳🫣
A picture to keep us going.
Well saved Mitch! 👏👏👏
Sitting on the porch watching the lightning show. Continuing with another jigged lamb. Great design Paul.

Great way to spend an evening buddy :)
Some history there ;)

Good afternoon Guardians, I'm sorry that I wasn't able to call in this morning :( I very suddenly started suffering with the symptoms of a cold last night. So suddenly that I thought it might be an allergic reaction to something. I certainly hope that I'm not starting with hay fever. It's quite unpleasant anyway  I slept very badly, but was hoping to call in, before going to the market, but before I was even out of bed, my phone started ringing. I spent the next 2 hours dealing with neighbours ringing me about our road, and dealing with the Council. Hopefully, the matter is now resolved, but I'm not sure when I became responsible for such matters, particularly as the feller in charge of dealing with Conservation Area issues is on over £50,000 a year (he was on that 15 years ago) I hadn't been able to have breakfast, and by the time I left for the market, I was feeling pretty ropey from the cold symptoms, and lack of sleep, as well as not having eaten for 18 hours 🤨

It's like a summer's day here today, so there was a nice atmosphere in the market. I had some gifts for Tool Man, and something for Ex-Para Steve, and I ended up buying coffee and doughnuts for everyone. Tool Man was stuffing his face as usual, and we had plenty of visitors, including Harry Hotballs, Our Cake Man, Big J, Slimline Scott, Otley Mick, Gravel, and 3 ageing Teddy Girls. I had a walk down to see Golden Gordon and Robert The Badge, and also went to see Nobber Al. I needed to get back home to do some work though, so after 2 1/2 hours, I headed off home. I think I might need to get a nap before doing my work 🥱

An old pic of Otley Mick & Slimline Scott:

I hope everyone is having a great day
