Hope you've had a good day Mitch Places here seemed to have stopped giving out a biscuit with coffee I always thought it was a nice touch, and doesn't cost much I was once in Arnhem in Holland, and my friend took us to a cafe where they gave you a biscuit AND a liqueur with your coffee! No wonder it was the most popular cafe in town

Yesterday was extra tiring, because I had the eye doctor two hours before work, and then my squinting muscles had a workout against the bright door through my sunglassses. I'm not working today, except to refill the brush bin. Maybe mow the front lawn, but the dandelions seem to be done, the plantain is just starting, and the clover grows low.

As long as I'm complaining.
But they noticed before I did, so I can't be very umbrageous about it.

Seems like some are darkening more than others

The girls’ school had a field day today, to which parents are invited to come and watch the various games, races, etc., so I did that for a few hours this morning. It was sunny but thankfully not too warm. Even so, having never been too fond of being out in the sun (and being the type of person who goes straight from pale to sunburnt without ever stopping at tan), I stood beneath some shady trees whenever I could.

Same here Barrett, sunscreen and shade as much as possible

Like some other Guardians, it seems, I had my GL-24 with me.

It got sunny for a while early afternoon, so I had a wander down to Charlie's to get a coffee I got talking to a feller, who I thought had a New York accent, and it turned out I was right, or at least made a lucky guess, but he was actually born in Bermuda. He'd spent 10 years in New York, before moving here 34 years ago with his sister. He told me his sister had a Yorkshire accent, but he still had the New York one



That is not actually the coffee I had, but I forgot to take a pic!
