Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Hope everyone is having a good day 🙂 I was originally intending to get a coffee before going into town, but it started raining quite heavily when I was halfway down the road, so I diverted to the bus-stop, and jumped straight on a bus. I picked up a coffee from a small bakery, which is run by a chatty Cornishman. You don't meet many people from Cornwall outside Cornnwall, and in fact he's only the third Cornishman I've ever encountered. He likes a good gossip, and today told me that his grandmother was 6ft 1" tall, and though he's the eldest, at 5ft 9", he's the shortest of his brothers, one of whom is 6ft 7"! He said it was quite embarrassing being shorter than his granny :D

Coffee in hand, I headed to the market, where I found Tool Man and Boring Ray, and shortly after, Scooby turned up. Scooby is one of Tool Man's old biker mates, but very different to Tool Man, and it was good to hear what he's been up to. Both Tool Man and Ray said they had a good time at the Rockers Reunion, but didn't elaborate. It was the first time Tool Man had worn his leather jacket since last year, and he happily told me that he had discovered his missing blackjack was in one of the pockets! :D

Boring Ray offered me 2 pairs of boots from his stall, but I had no interest in them whatsoever - nor in acquiring Trench Foot! :D Scooby tried them on though, and they didn't look too bad on him, so Ray made a sale - the only one I saw him make all day

Gravel arrived, and Tool Man headed off to buy cakes and a pork pie, which, after returning, he began stuffing into his face. Me and Gravel did share a slice of a cake Tool Man had bought cheap, as it was past it's 'sell by' date :D Scooby had a piece of Tool Man's pork pie, and then went to buy another pie.

The rain had blown over by this point, but the market was bereft of traders, with Tool Man being surrounded by empty stalls. Two fellers spent ages asking about Tool Man's pocket watches, winding them up, listening to them, and giggling rather stupidly while they did so. I had to get my Hartshead Barlow out to cut the price tag off, as the string was twisted round the winder. Then, as I suspected would happen, they left without buying anything.

Nobber Al was among the missing traders, and Maurizio, but Golden Gordon and Robert The Badge were standing. They have their own collection of regulars, which we think look an odd bunch :D

Gravel went off to buy his fish, and I went to buy some bread. Scooby went just before Gravel returned with 3 large trays of bhajis, and I went off to meet Wolfie for coffee, leaving Tool Man happily stuffing himself.

I met Wolfie in a coffee shop chain, where the coffee is £4 a cup, and they were using paper cups because they said the dishwasher was broken. The coffee was so bad I complained, and as they got quite nasty about it, we went somewhere else. We decided to get lunch, and had falafel sandwiches in a Middle Eastern cafe, which were good.

After Wolfie went back to work, I returned to the market. I had missed Harry Hotballs, and Slimline Scott, but Big Dave was there. He has hands like shovels! :D Dave was busy angrily complaining about the Rockers Reunion do, which he had had some part in organising. There had been a fallout apparently, and he has packed it in for the future. I never got the full tale, but it seems it was summat and nothing, but with bridges burned for the future.

After Dave went, I thought about heading off myself, as I needed to pick up a parcel from the post office. I'll be in London next Thursday, so won't be back at the market for a couple of weeks

Love those covers Bob, and the stunning pics 😎👍
I am looking forward to Jack’s report. I wonder how the Ted gathering went? Kinda like my mug I imagine but with alcohol and better music.

LOL! The problem with seeing the Teds on Thursday is that they've largely forgotten what they did the previous weekend by then! 🫣 Beautiful Lamb Kurt 😎👍
