Thanks Mitch, I have been very surprised by how hard they are working! A few years back, a couple of streets away, there was a road crew that did virtually nothing for months. Then, when the gaffers were due to arrive, they worked like crazy, and got the whole job done in a day!

LOL! It was the cause of national frustration, and a standing joke, for decades! I'm guessing things have got better, because you don't hear about the long delays, or hear the jokes, anymore. I'm sure Tool Man could tell plenty of stories about leaning on shovels!
