Yes, sir: three! In the 1970s we got a public broadcasting channel and one or two Mexican stations. Then cable came about 1980 or so with dozens of channels.

I wanted to share this with you guys, especially those into sci-fi, superheroes, and other nerdy stuff.
One of my talented students drew this for me, it's my childhood favorite... Can you name him?

When I was a kid here, there were two channels, and we had a rented TV set which took a coin in the back! There were only TV programmes for a few hours a day, and everything was in black and white here until the early 70's These things are partly connected to the fact I have watched very little TV my entire life

Yes!!! Such great childhood memories!!!
Ultraman was fantastic because it mixed sci-fi, a superhero, and Godzilla style monsters.

A very successful Pi Day, if I do say so myself.
I am ready to lay down and enter my food coma now.
I had apple/pear pie, apple pie, Oreo cream pie, and best of all... chicken pot pie.
And there is my Lambsfoot peaking out of its slip to be part of the festivities...


You might also notice that one of my students knitted me a coffee cup coaster so I wouldn't leave rings on the counter.
