Guess what your collection is worth!

between 10k and 15k mostly Busse's.

This may sound strange but the knife I would least like to loose would be the Old Timer I edc. It was given to me by my dad 30 years ago when I was going into the service.

At it's peak i figure it was up to around 3k, but after a sell off of mostly busse's, swamp rats and crk's that were gathering dust i figure it's down to about $300 ish worth of mostly moras and swiss army knives remaining. The biggest blades i own now are mora2k and an m9 bayonet. The only one i'd never part with is my OHT.

Nope, not strange at all. I have an old well used Case Stockman given to me by my favorite uncle under similar circumstances. He taught me to fish and hunt and all about making the most of the great outdoors. This knife is one he carried for over 20+ years every day. The jigging on the green bone scales has been worn smooth. But it was his only pocket knife and he took good care of it. So when he bought a new Case of the same model in stag in 1969-70 and gave this one to me to use, I promised I'd do the same.

You just cannot put a price on treasured memories. :)

around $2000 including my axes, hatchets, knives, machetes.

the ones with the most value are the ones i have purchased right here from BF in Knifemakers for sale , and also the fixed blade i got as a wee lad and the one my dad gave me.

with all the new customs i just got in the last few weeks, and the Emerson P.U.K. fixed blade i just got, im going to revise the amount to around $2600 CDN

in reality, they are all priceless to me, as they are used a lot and i get great enjoyment out of using them.

I am at an all time low. Probably worth around a Grand. I have given away at least 3 times that in knives and lost about 4 times as much. This is making me sick thinking about it.

if i were to go out and buy everything new right now it would probably run me somewhere between $1000-2000

but if i tried to sell any of it now i might get $50 for everything...

all of my blades are hard users, nothing gets babied.

I love that response. I've heard you say that quite a few times and it has been a motivator to me to quit being a sissy and start using my knives.

I have a Graham Spear point that I babied and it has since turned into a hard use knife. I've come to learn that I appreciate my knives more when I use them and use them to their ability.

My response is similar to Siguys but my total may be around $1000.

Good question. 45 Bark Rivers and a few Benchmade's and other odds and ends...I am going with a minimum replacement value of around $7500 although that is simply a dollar figure and a few cannot be replaced at all.

The one I am least likely to get rid of is my old Schrade that my brother gifted to me many years ago. Lots of sentimental value!

I refuse to answer on the grounds that my wife is on the grounds.:D

SSSSHHHHH! Right behind me.

On a more serous note, Probably not to much. In these days of poor economy, Knives are a luxury and folks are not going to spend much on luxury items. History show us that. During the last depression people traded their land and everything that was not absolutely necessary for groceries. My Grandma had a grocery store and by the end of the depression she owned half the land in the county. When things settled down she deeded most of the land back to the folks who lost it. However many of them had moved on and never came back. Lets hope it does not come to that this time.
