I think Dymalux is like the old Dymondwood which is layers of laminated wood. Probably last forever.

I would like to see a couple pictures of a Dymalux handle off the knife. Anyone have any?
and I'm not trying to bad mouth anything Buck puts out, I like most everything. I just think a limited run of 500, 750, or even 1000 should be more unique.

Wow. That is a nice one... I like it and I think the price is right... ugh.. I'm trying to get some custom work done and I have a couple things on order thay I may have to pay for at any time... I'm happy with my 112s (second one still not here). Think I'm going to pass on this one.

Pass for me. I have a 117 pro and this doesn't seem that special. I have mixed feelings on the dymalux stuff. High quality birch ply, but its still plywood.

I got an alpha guide with dymalux..its just like dymondwood. I posted pics in the sps show of it. probably birch or equivalent wood layers epoxied and dyed. I dont mind it as it's resistant to shrinkage, cracking, and rotting.....

Granted the steel difference but I’ll bet yours was a lot cheaper. Especially if you receive BCCI discount.

I like the little extra weight of the brass/dymalux handle. I dont mind the material at all. I am sitting on the fence though as extra funds are tight.

Mine was from Copper and Clad back in Dec 2020 when 117s were still kind of new and pre inflation for a little more than today's black phonolic price. The one on the left was the March 2022 BOTM for a premium price, which you can now get anytime you like and apply the BCCI discount.
