I just added some Night Fisions and some Lok grips. What’s the price on them where you’re at?Local shop has a couple of these I eye every now and then.

I paid $499 before taxes, but mine was very lightly used. Original owner shot 3 boxes of ammo through it and it still looks brand new.I'll have to double check. I think they're either $550 or $600.

Oh yeah, what’s that?Nice. I'll look closer next time. I do have something on the way that I'm pretty pumped about.
AWESOME!
The first 10 shots of 124gr +p Gold Dots. I’d say the Night Fisions are on!

Great story!!! Time of day definitely helps with the flame on pictureBrother, your post made me giggle a bit. It "took me back" to my youth.
According to A.A.R.P., I just made "Senior" status (*55yo) a few weeks back. So, I hope that all you guys will humor my "old man" story...
I graduated the Police Academy in 1992. I know, I know...Who cares?
Anyhow, in my six to seven months in the Academy, we fired 4" .357 Mag "service magnums", exclusively. I had about a month-long "furlough" of sorts, upon graduation, before being released on the good citizens of South Texas. By that time, I'd attended a "Transition Class" for autoloaders. My first night on the street, I carried a Glock 21. I never got to carry the .357 wheelgun that I shot all through the Academy.
My Buddy, on the other hand, and who'd graduated about a year before me, got to carry the Smith Model 13 that he'd shot in the Academy. A couple of months into his Police service, he smoked a guy, at night, who'd fired at him and his partner, after committing an armed robbery. Per S.O.P., he was placed on "Administrative Leave", and had his "shoot" reviewed by the "Shooting Team" and the D.A.
I visited with him after his shoot was deemed "justifiable" and he was "cleared" and released back to regular "Patrol" duty.
When we visited, I told him, "I'm sure you're glad that you were cleared on the shoot." He replied, "You know what I'm glad about? I'm glad that I hit the son-of-a-b!tch with the first round...because I couldn't see SH!T after that!"
Ahhh, ".357 Magnum wheelguns" and "The Good ol' Days".![]()
I’m glad I trained on wheel guns first. The DA on my M10, M19 & Colt Trooper.357 mag etc taught me excellent trigger control & ammo conservation that IMO teaches you to count your shots & make your shots count!Brother, your post made me giggle a bit. It "took me back" to my youth.

That HK is a sharp looking pistol! What’s the barrel length on it?I really love my HK P30L and it’s my concealed carry choice 99% of the time. I walked into a local shop and they had an HK45 marked 15% off. I couldn’t pass it up.

The issue with owning a 45 though, is it opened the door to own more 45s. I decided I wanted to get back into a 1911. So with some specific requirements, I set out looking for one. I ultimately found most of what I wanted in this 2024 - 45th anniversary Kimber 1911.
I’ve got some grips ordered for it thanks to Black Friday sales.
