Gun Picture Thread

If you've seen my latest knife/325 pics, you'll notice that I have changed grips again.

OCD of course, and a complicated hand (?) .... but I think I finally found the ideal N-frame grip for me.

These S&W grips were made for the 629 (44 Magnum), originally.

Here is my rationale :)

Wood is only an aesthetic/touchy-feely constraint, of course.

Changed out the new G20 and my old G19 with some new Tag Precision sights.

Seem to be high quality and sight picture looks great.

Very nice for the money and free 1 day shipping from the mfg.

Tell me about it! I literally sold my MKIII for that same reason (and I can take apart/re-assemble quite literally all my other guns blindfolded), since I needed to clean that .22 more than usual since lead and I usually shoot it suppressed. The IV is SO awesome just for it's simple break-down - that's what I have now.

I hear IV is much easier to disassemble and reassemble. I sold off the mkII long ago. Didn’t really care for .22 in a pistol.

Yeah that could make a guy swear some days. You can get a simple part now (HHS Hammer Strut Support) that makes the Ruger Mk I, II, and III series pistols much simplier to reasemble. I bought a couple a few years back I they were 14 or 15 bucks.

I like the fiber on the 19. Can you compare these against tritium night sights?
Thanks

I replaced my tritium on the 19, they were almost completely out. That was my last pistol that had night sights, just got tired of buying new when they go out. Plus if I needed to, I can point shoot further than my longest hallway at home if needed to.

They’re very bright as long as you have a little light shining on them but you wouldn’t be able to see anything in the dark. That 19 is my carry at work pistol and these will work great.

I’ll put a red dot on the 10mm and may just take the red fiber out of the front sight to black it out since that is an option.

Curious which of you carry strongside inner waist band? I've been carrying appendix since I started but I'm thinking about making the switch.
Shooting yourself in the ass is still better than shooting yourself in the family jewels!

I carry strong side 3:00 outside, 4: IWB, cross draw belt at 10:30 & shoulder harness.
The cringe factor of carrying Appendix is just too strong!!!😵‍💫

I carry multiple ways, depending on what I’m doing, what I’m wearing and time of year. If it’s in a proper fitting holster, you have nothing to worry about.

RLB0414 RLB0414 , Hammer67 Hammer67 , Alone Alone : Is a 2024 DW Valor 45 with only 100 (no issue) shots through it for $1300 a good deal ? Anything I should watch out for ? Thanks.
If pre CZ Dan Wesson, without a doubt. I would still jump on a CZ version. If you can field strip and inspect it before completing forms, I would.
100 rounds is basically brand new. That price is anywhere from $500 to $700 below new.
Looking forward to photos.

YES - get it. Valors are great. Any pics you can share?

Is it Government or Commander? DW still makes the former, and now only makes the latter in a bobtail version (the "V-Bob).
