Gun Picture Thread

Bought this just to help someone out. Plain Jane. No box. One mag. Hadn’t been shot much.
40 caliber. No way I’m keeping a 40. My other Glocks are 9mm. Don’t own anything in 40 cal. Last thing I need is another caliber to keep up with. Gonna sell it, get my money back and be done with it.

Yeah, right.

A few accessories and some range trips later, it’s now my go to nightstand pistol.

It’s a mad world.

Glad I’m not the only one who makes decisions like that! I’ve purchased many to help out friends with the intent of selling down the road. Apparently, that road never ends!! The safe is full!

Another from my tactical Tupperware collection,
Walther P-99 in 9mm .

These have interchangeable back strap/Mainspring housing with three sizes .
Also a real crisp let off on the trigger of any striker Fire pistol I’ve shot & it resets without having to rack the slideIMG_2379.jpeg. Nice if doing dry fire drills

Looks like paddle mag release?

P99s were an awesome design, imo. I think some people were put off by thinking that they are more complicated than they actually are.

I love the lines of that gun.
Thanks, it’s a sweet well balanced piece.
My S & W M66-3 is a Lew Horton edition with the cylinder release having a forward thumb movement instead of a slide & I’ve put small Pacmayar grips on it for easy comfortable belt carry. The original grips are a blocky wood, dyed almost Barney Purple. I have those someplace.

I’m the second owner. A pleasant biker chick that looked like she had been rode hard & put away wet, “poor thing” brought it into a gun store I managed to sell.

I told the owner that I wanted to adopt this one. The revolver, not the biker lady!

The ambi mag release is excellent!i can use my trigger finger to drop the empty mag . Don’t have to shift your dominant hand grip at all. Then I use my off hand to release the slide.
I believe they are still in production.

Walther announced the "Final Edition" of the P99 last year, and I snagged one. Not sure if they're still producing them, but the FEs can still be foundm, and for pretty good prices too.
