Gun Picture Thread

I did a little painting (rattle can) on my rifle. NY compliant unfortunately but it’s actually pretty comfortable.

I love CZ, but simple they ain’t. Working on this yesterday helped me rediscover my love and respect for the simplicity of the 1911 and the genius of JMB….and I didn’t even have to get into the CZ’s sear cage this time around.

(The CZ 75 sear cage is a special little hell when installing an extra power sear spring. Thankfully there’s really no need to ever screw with it other than for tuning purposes)

No springs, plungers, or pins lost this time around!

Very nice gun! On the second photo, the gold colored picks look like dental tools!!!

My CZ. I have a CGW pro kit I have to install. I haven't installed because it shoots damn good like it is.

It’s a fun project. Follow the online tutorials.
Advice?
1. The correct, good quality punches are well worth the cost (learned this the hard way).
2. The L-spring in the sear cage is, indeed, often lost and seldom found (also learned the hard way).
3. The thumb safety detent plungers can get away from you too, but thankfully they’re easier to find 😁).

75-B’s can sometimes have mushy thumb safeties. There are drop-in extra power spring available (DS Perman) that will help, without having to do any fancy smithing to the safety lever.

The Tanfoglio sear spring has an extra coil and is stronger than CZ’s. It helps add back a little weight and crispness to the SA pull if the Pro Kit does its job a little too well! That’s the sear hell I was referring to above. I’ll probably be trying it on a decocker at some point, which will be sadistic x 10 (if it even fits).
