Curious to know what has changed so they can now offer the .45 in a two-pin frame. That IS sweet, though.
It has been gen 5’d like all the other gen 5s. Flared magwell, ambi slide release, front slide serrations, reversible mag release, better trigger, etc.Curious to know what has changed so they can now offer the .45 in a two-pin frame. That IS sweet, though.
I guess I was a little ambiguous in what I posted. I meant, I wonder why they can now put the .45ACP in a 2-pin frame, when the implication was that they couldn't do it before. It went to 3-pin along with all the other Gen 3 Glocks, with the stated reason (as I recall) that the third pin was needed on the frames due to the introduction of the .40S&W. The .45 arguably generates more recoil forces than the .40, which would imply to me that the .45 needs a 3-pin frame. I'm just wondering if they changed the formulation of the polymer, some of the internals in the recoil block area, or what, that allowed them to now introduce the .45 in a 2-pin frame. It has been gen 5’d like all the other gen 5s. All the gen 5s, no matter what caliber, are now 2 pin frames. The front pin holds the locking block and the ambi slide release. That’s the main difference.I guess I was a little ambiguous in what I posted. Beautiful.
Beautiful revolver, and I know for a FACT that is a VERY good, handy gun. Because I have one very similar.

Thank you guys!Beautiful revolver, and I know for a FACT that is a VERY good, handy gun. Because I have one very similar.
Case coloring is gone on mine. It was having a problem with rust in a few places, and I sent it back to Ruger. Now it is all blue, except the grip frame, which is stainless steel. It started life as a Bisley Vaquero, but I didn't like that grip frame. So I fitted a SS grip frame to it, and installed a Super Blackhawk hammer. Lovely revolver. And awesome holster, which I'm sure is of your own design and manuracture.
