Gun Picture Thread

No this isn't a firearm, but a lot of people don't realize that S&W actually once manufactured airguns in the 70's.
They had the 77a MSP rifle, a co2 bb repeater, then they had the .22 model 78G and .1777 model 79G co2 pistols made to replicate their model 41 .22lr target pistol.

This is a 1978 example from the final run of production before the tooling ...etc was sold off to daisy, I bought it last year from the original owner who purchased it new in 1981.

It's quite pellet picky but is pretty accurate when you find one it likes.
Sweet! I'm one of those who didn't know S&W ever made pellet guns, but that one looks really nice.

they are quite nice, and this one in particular was about 99% condition.
They're pretty desirable , and I had to fork out $350 for it which in retrospect isn't really that much considering it is legitimately a S&W pistol.

I've always had an airgun or two around for as long as I can remember, my first was a Beeman pump BB gun I think. Anyway I've been getting more and more into them over the last few years. Pumps, break barrels, and I've recently come to learn the joy that is big caliber precharged pneumatics. Now, airguns are the main things I shoot, the ammo being less expensive and generally easier to find. I've been saving my powder burners for hunting and "emergencies," so that expensive ammo stockpile can just spend more time in the safe.

Here's my Benjamin Bulldog .357, it has a 5 round magazine with sidelever action:

Here is my Western Airguns Sidewinder in .30 with a 12 round magazine and selectable semi auto/ full auto action:

Here is my modified Crosman 1322, .22 pump pistol single shot. I replaced all the plastic parts and added some new guts to make it a little more power, this one travels with me a lot:

Finally, here's a group shot of all the airguns I've accumulated up until now:

No collection is complete without a Red Ryder lol!

I don't know what the hell that is, but I am absolutely certain that I need one.

Edit: the others look great too... but there is something about that one that looks like MUCH too much fun.

The 47 shot great and I’m glad to own it. But, M&P is by far my favorite.

That is a fantastic looking pistol. And I know M&P 2.0s shoot great (at least my 10mm does). Love the new trigger. When I move out of the communist state I live in (so I don't have to take a mag capacity hit), there is a good chance I will purchase one, although probably the polymer frame. I know the polymer frame shoots as good as this one looks.

M&P 4.6" 10mm. I'm closing in on 1k rounds through it - everything from target rounds to full-power Underwood, and it's been excellent. The only thing I did was replace the RSA with a steel guide rod and a #20 recoil spring. RDS is mounted with a C&H Precision plate and stainless steel screws.

Nice! Have the same thing, but RMR and no mounted light. And don't have that many rounds through it yet.
Perhaps I should look into the C&H plate for mounting the RMR.

Thanks. It's my go-to hiking gun these days. Main reason I beefed up the optic mounting hardware is just because this is 10mm - usually the included hardware that ships with optics is pretty janky chi-com in my experience (Trijicon may be an exception - not sure where they source their screws from). I didn't want to deal with sheared off screws. C&H sells the stainless screws as well.

Yeah, the screws are good. But, as you would know, the factory spacer is plastic. But really it's just a spacer, so.... but I'd still rather have metal.

I love the 2.0 series. My polymer 2.0 Compact shoots incredible. I was shocked with how accurate I am with it.

That's a killer set up.

Yep these 1322 are a great airgun, inexpensive and fun to shoot. You can pick up the base model for $60-$70. There is a small industry of people that make different upgrades and parts to these. It's super fun to get them apart, and customize, but pretty soon your $60 airgun becomes a $300 airgun lol. Here's a picture of mine next to an unmodified base model, before I replaced the last plastic plate over its trigger housing.
