Gun Picture Thread

Just my personal opinion but I think Glock would do just fine without California... this gives me vibes of S&W caving with the Hillary Hole.
I agree, but I think they fear that other states will enact similar laws. "reading the tea leaves" to look into the future, I wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

This.

It's a smart business move, IMO, CA is just a good excuse.

First, there will be a customer run on existing old-model stock. Then, they have opportunity to "upgrade", including the government.
I agree. I suspect they've been aiming to pivot on this for a few months or so because this switch seems to becoming really fast.

I agree with 91bravo 91bravo that the older gens will now be Legacy models. Glock Store had the 34 marked at 619 as it was being discontinued. Now it's back up to $720.

I thought the switch has been around for a while. I recall something several months back out of Chicago regarding them.
Might be time to look at different brands.

I’ll be picking up a gen 5 G19 tomorrow for $400 from a local seller. I was just telling my wife the other day, that I have way too many Glocks and that I need to sell a few of them off. I’m going to hang on to them now, maybe buy a few more gen 5s and keep them new in
the box.

Been in the safe for years, just changed the battery, back in the safe.
