Gun Picture Thread

Just my personal opinion but I think Glock would do just fine without California... this gives me vibes of S&W caving with the Hillary Hole.
I agree, but I think they fear that other states will enact similar laws. "reading the tea leaves" to look into the future, I wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

This.

It's a smart business move, IMO, CA is just a good excuse.

First, there will be a customer run on existing old-model stock. Then, they have opportunity to "upgrade", including the government.
I agree. I suspect they've been aiming to pivot on this for a few months or so because this switch seems to becoming really fast.

I agree with 91bravo 91bravo that the older gens will now be Legacy models. Glock Store had the 34 marked at 619 as it was being discontinued. Now it's back up to $720.

I thought the switch has been around for a while. I recall something several months back out of Chicago regarding them.
Might be time to look at different brands.

I’ll be picking up a gen 5 G19 tomorrow for $400 from a local seller. I was just telling my wife the other day, that I have way too many Glocks and that I need to sell a few of them off. I’m going to hang on to them now, maybe buy a few more gen 5s and keep them new in
the box.

Been in the safe for years, just changed the battery, back in the safe.

I have been quite happy with my S&W Shield 9mm & they have expanded their M&P line. Plenty of add on goodies are available! Domestically produced afaik & great customer service.

Also a attractive price point..

If I didn’t own Glocks, I’d go with the M&P line for striker fired pistols. They are great shooters and the new Shield X looks awesome.

I have the first model Shield that is 8 plus one or 10 round mags. A little lighter which was my goal for a conceal carry.

You will realize in another 20 years that packing all of this stuff weighs more every year! Lolz 😂

I went to my LGS and picked up an extra G-19 mos Gen 5. Will throw it in the safe.
Handled a few other brands. I always handle a CZ-75 but can never commit. The Hellcat Pro sure did feel nice in hand.

I have an M&P 2.0PC in 10mm. Accuracy is awesome and the trigger is clean and crisp.
SA Echelon is one I found has a good trigger. A complete gear up bundle pkg which includes 5 (17+1) magazines and RFX11 Viridian installed for $100 less than g19 mos with no accessories is hard to say no too.

I just picked up a regular g19 from a local FB marketplace group as well, which will also go in the safe as is.

I want to sell my CZ75 if you’re interested, would cut a good deal on it!

I looked at the Echelons too, they are quite nice for the money!
