Sorry for the crappy pic, had some dinner w/ wine err wine w/ dinner..

Anyway, picked up some CF grips for the 1911 of the exchange on a whim. I think I like them :) Now I just need an Eclipse to put them on...

New toy, just got it last night! Can't believe how compact this thing is, just hope it shoots well and doesn't fall apart...

Kinda wish I coulda found one in desert tan or OD green, but this is the ONLY one I've even seen - much less been able to get my hands on. It might have to have some parts cerakoted down the road. But, for now, I have a red dot on the way (I think it's hanging out with my inbound HDS in USPS land) and will probably put some BUIS on it and maybe a flashlight... Now to find some range time..
 
Looks like a beast. Seems like their stuff holds together. Good luck with it have fun. I put Aimpoint M3's on my stuff.
 
The reviews have been mixed, about 50-50. Some seem to be tanks and hold up to thousands of shells, others seem to repeatedly break. Might be operator error/abuse.. Dunno, guess I'll find out for myself.. It did surprise me how much it weighs compared to the size, seem hefty. Which is reassuring, I like the idea of having a decent amount of steel between my cheek and the chamber...

I like aimpoints, I'm intimately familiar w/ the M4 (red dot). I don't want to drop more than a couple hundred until I decide how well this thing is gonna hold up - although I guess I could always put a more expensive dot on my M4 (rifle) if it doesn't stay on the KSG..
 
One of these days I'll buy an actual camera so I can stop using my iPhone. This is my dresser as it usually sits, only here its also holding a Citori, my usual 1911, my XM-18, and my lens light- all of which are usually considerably closer to where I sleep.

I think the AR is about to be switched up a bit. I have an eotech that I can use to replace the sight mark and a light on a different gun to move. I'm thinking they may get more use here as I've warmed a little to the AR platform. It's not that I've ever disliked it, but I don't shoot or need a rifle super often and when I do I seem to always steer towards something with a little more character. I think I'm finally being converted to durability and reliability over some more traditional options for some practical situations. Besides, if I get this fully decked out for the majority of use situations, I might be able to justify some trading/selling/converting for other toys.

A little vintage SIGness...
1993 vintage 228, I've been looking for one of these for awhile. This one is basically new and if I had half a brain I'd put it away. It'd be hard to find anyone who would accuse me of that so, it's going to get trij HD's, E2 grips and a trigger job before it becomes my new carry gun.
It looks pretty freakin good with that DLC XM I think!
