Awesome pic brother! That's a wicked little gut-buster!

I was already dinking around taking pics of the Marlin for another thread so I thought I'd toss an XM in there for good measure!

Holy crap! That lever action is sweet!!

Wow beautiful gun dude

Thanks :) It started out as a stock Marlin 1895MR (.450 Marlin), then I took it to Wild West Guns in Anchorage oh about 6-9 years ago (don't remember exactly how long, but well before their stupid tv show) for some work. Shortened the barrel and had it ported, BB the SS finish, added the big loop lever (perfect for gloves), the ghost ring rear sight and front hood, extended hammer, rail for scope, a couple other internals (trigger, beefed up extractor, polished ramp, etc).. They did awesome work, their CS on the other hand...

I would love to get an M4, it's been on my want list for a while. Backburnered due to, well, life - but one day it shall be mine. In the meantime, I'll enjoy my SBE II ;)

I have a buddy getting ready to retire (at 50) his guns are his retirement. He is planning to sell one every month or two and that will take him 26 years.
Some of his weapons are worth upwards of $40,000.
I think he will do ok. :)

Oh, and then there is the ammo (who knows how much) that wasn't a bad investment either.

That is awesome! Unfortunately, I have a hard time parting with mine. I don't think I've ever actually sold or traded any of my guns. Had a few stolen from my last PCS move though. I wish I still had the ammo stash I had accumulated once upon a time. As I'm sure you know, the govt won't ship it in a PCS so normally I would do a partial DITY and fill the truck. My move previous to this one they made me go to HI so I was out of luck and had to get rid of most of it.. Tens of thousands of rounds (and $) that looks to be a huge challenge to recoup any time soon with all of the ammo and component shortages.

Anybody got an FN five-seven pistol? I'm curious if they are worth further researching/owning.

Only drawback at all is ammo depravation

That is what has been and is slowing me down. I have pleanty of things and may be better served by concentrating efforts on another pistol. Just kinda wanting something less common than the mainstream choices. The FN 5.7 has appealed to me since it's introduction but the best ammo has always been restricted.
