Guns & Hinderers

Thanks! Now if hunting season would just get here!

I hear you buddy! I'm determined to clean a deer this fall with my new xm-18 slicer. I'd normally use my custom nyala but the slicer looks like it would do a good job of it. Maybe if the stars align I'll get to do it with a new fieldtac! Haha.

I cleaned 3 last year with my FXM spanto....it was a pure pleasure...still hair-popping sharp after all 3 with no sharpening required. CTS-40CP rocks!

That is what has been and is slowing me down. I have pleanty of things and may be better served by concentrating efforts on another pistol. Just kinda wanting something less common than the mainstream choices. The FN 5.7 has appealed to me since it's introduction but the best ammo has always been restricted.

Yeah I bought mine early on before ammo got tight. I hope it will come back around once people settle down on all the meat and potato ammo that's pinching the specialty ammo. Still crazy that you can't hardly get .22.
The caliber and pistol aesthetics and performance are outstanding....just the issue with ammo. I would say hold off and see what the ammo does over the course of the next year.

Ammo has been showing up around here lately. Nice to see it hitting shelves again. Dealers at the shows have insane prices still though. Was at a show 3 weeks ago and a 525 round box of 22 was $65. I laughed out loud when I saw it.

Yeah, I actually found some useful powder the other day at a local sporting good store. Now if I could just get primers...

No kidding! That's awesome. You had quite a season huh? I just touched up my slicer on the W.E and it is just violently sharp. By far the sharpest blade in my arsenal. I can wait to try it out on a nice 8 pointer. It just might make that chore a more pleasant experience.

This weekend I bought some 5.7 x 28 (two local stores had it in stock), Speer 9mm (although limited to 100 rounds) and a bunch of primers (bought about 6,000 CCI small pistol between two stores). Powder is still pretty tough, I found one powder I wanted but another (VihtaVuori) is elusive.

Had a great season! One was my 16yo nephews and another was a friends. Looks like this year is shaping up quite nice....

Always carry my favorite fixed blade and a folder...

That is one heck of a rack in that second picture. I'm going to try to GPS track the code from the pictures that you posted. Haha. I need to get a hinderer fixed blade!

Yeah he has a nice drop tine...my 14yo son and 17yo nephew are salivating...they've been tuning up there archery getting amped up!

Romanian WASR-10, with a few accessories (forearm wood and folding stock added). I have a love/hate relationship with this one. I HAD to put in a Tapco trigger, the one it came with, I didn't know a trigger could be so bad and have that much creep. The iron sights were horrible, that is why the red dot is there. It is reliable though.

lol, yeah. The AK is such an awesome gun. Could kick myself for getting rid of it, but got on a black rifle kick and had to get a few ARs. Here is my shotty and my 3" DLC.

I literally want both of those things, a lot.

I was already dinking around taking pics of the Marlin for another thread so I thought I'd toss an XM in there for good measure!

Is that a 45-70? If so it is funny, I am working on my 1895GS right now to go shooting in the morning.

Sweet gun, and I like the XM too, we have similar taste in knives and guns. Like the lever!

Thanks! Close, it's a .450 Marlin. The lever is a big loop lever from Wild West Guns, it's slightly awkward with bare hands but makes shooting with gloves really easy (a big plus up here).
