I'm also looking forward to the 22 magnum that's being released. It looks like a smaller two blade gunstock for the watch pocket. Sign me up.

I got this rough rider to see how I like gunstock patterns, thinking of getting a queen yellow gunstock.

First off, for like $8 shipped, this is a super well made knife. Centered blades, even springs, good action, even grinds and edges. But it needed something:

So less than ten minutes later and I have a clip main and sheepfoot secondary. Pretty happy with it.

I just ordered a 22 magnum in ebony wood! It looked beautiful in the picture. I'm super excited!

Nice choice. I too have been waiting for this one. I'm stuck between ebony and the smooth white bone.

I was too. So far the GEC's that I have (that weren't gifts) are both smooth white bone (sheepfoot charlow and a 92). So smooth white bone would have really fit in. However, I have been really liking the dark ebony coming out. When I saw how the dark ebony looked with the nice silver bolsters, shield, etc. I had to go for it.

Here's the stock photo, hope it's okay to post:

Great return policy though, so if I decide to go with white bone I hope there's some left.

Great knives guys! I especially love the yellow rose and the Queens. Here's my only, a Case in brown barnboard. I'm gonna have to pick up one with a clip a some point.

GEC is calling one of the new 22 Magnums, "smooth buckthorn bone". What is buckthorn bone? I heard a rumor.

I think that's the one we're calling smooth ivory bone. I didn't realize the difference in name until you brought it up. So now I must know too!

As far as I know "Smooth Buckthorn Bone" is just a name for smooth natural bone. It's called Marketing.
