Gunting Seminar - Vancouver, BC. Nov. 9/10

I never lie! You think you are excited now!! Just wait!You guys are lucky,You get the big guy Bram & Steve one of the best Instructors he has!Man,are you all going to have FUN & as for learning ,you have no idea!! I still want a sitrep on ,If I was right about learning & retaining!!It's only the beginning,would love to be there "except" for dinner!:barf:

I have to agree with BOK. I was a bit skeptical about the lessons but after hearing from Bram and Steve, it went away a bit. Then, I read your responses and just wiped all the skeptical thinking away. Thanks for your many responses and opinions towards the Gunting.

As for sushi, YEAH, get the waiter/waitress ready because theres gonna be a lot of serving done. Get the salmon!!!!!

wasabi queen??? That is one I will not contend with you, I've seen you inhale that stuff......just CRAZY.
However, sushi queen will have to settle for second.

Wasabi is good stuff...
The only problem with Sushi is the OTHER guy plays with his knife and we all watch...and he has a really sharp knife at that..
By the way a Gunting cuts fish really well...

Excuse me..that's like saying that alcoholism is the fault of those that make liquor..I cannot help it if certain individuals become Guntaholics.and worse..they practice infectious Guntaholismic methods on poor unsuspecting indivduals now aptly called "practice pieces"...
I..am only the poor forgotten designer-inventor....
forced to have to demo endless cyles of Gunting techniques and concepts...to keep the Gunting addicts and Guntaholics from having withdrawl pains and suffereing anyomre than they do...

any of you with spare Guntings please send them on to Jim so he doesn't suffer severe withdrawl....you might want to send a long one of those nay sayers for Jim to practice on as well....

No, I don't have any spare Guntings but anyone else have spare trainers, don't hesitate to send them over to me......hahha j/k:D

Yep,you are right ,"I'm hopeless"!Bram, surely you jest,you "forgotten" NEVER!!How can I forget,I was innocent, attended a Gunting Seminar,got hooked by this nice enthusiastic guy named Bram,who,changed my mind(warped me),adjusted my attitude(I used to be peaceful & passive),& introduced me to "PAIN"(poor abused demo dummy,again, & again)!:D Guntings!! I NOW have only four,2 live blades,one trainer & one with a "nice" Blue handle!! People see it,ask what it is ,"THEN,(hee,hee)PRACTICE"!!Yuk,once you guys & that sweet lady take the Seminar,you become known as"Bram's People"!There IS no cure, just "practice!! Bwaaaaa!

For sure after I learn, I'm gonna practice with it more than I study for school. I have a feeling newbies attending the seminars will feel pain and therefore, develop tendencies to dealing out the pain after we have learn the art.
Bram's people???? Haha, I never been part of a cult before. Sounds like you have been lured in and no way out. Seems fine to me, I am prepared for that status of attitude. I will go from reader to believer to member.
 
Just out of curiosity how often are these Gunting seminars held and what are the chances of another one being held after the one in November. Would it be like a year or two wait or possible longer?

I am just wondering because this is a topic that has just recently perked my curiosity and I am wanting to do more research into it. As of now the seminar sounds very intriguing but I know for a fact I will not be attending the November one because lack of funds and quite possibly I'm to late to sign up.

You're not too late. There are still spots available. And as for lack of funds, drop me an email, I'm sure we can work something out if you really want to come play too. :)

Bram is pretty busy, so I'm not sure when we can get him back after November, but you could always come to Israel with us. ;)

'Cos I'm all pumped up and ready to go and the wait has me anxious as hell!!!

Just need my sheath, need the training and I'm set...
For the time being though my new EKI Commander should hold me over!!!

Well thats cool to know its not to late and upon re-reading the very first post I can probably gather up the funds provided my work decide to give me more then one shift every 2 weeks :mad:.

I have another question....I think its the last one...I don't know, my mind is pretty scattered right now with school and work or lack of work haha, but I am very very new to all this I don't have a knife or a sheath or anything for that matter. Now in order to go to the seminar is it required that you have your own knife? I looked at previous postings to see if this had already been answered and I thought it had been but I think I missed it when I re-read earlier posts.

Have a great Seminar,really wish I could be there,would love to see the new guys & ladies when they see & feel the G.New members to the G cult.I feel I must warn you,do not,I repeat"do not" let Bram demo on you first,cause if Neal is who I think he is,Bram,"smiles" turns you over to Mr.Hummerstone & huyaaa(may the Lord help you if he likes you)!BOK'S next post will be on how he has found "new"practice pieces! Sorry Steve,can't tell BRAM, ruined a nice,gentle old man(me) can you,think "I"like the G much??

Man, I agree. All this talk and all this positive feedback is making me anxious.......ok, next week is october, then one more month, just one more month.....hahaha

At least you have your commander to keep you busy till then. I haven't had a new knife for 3 months.......:(

I've a question...do we get to train with the actual Spydie drones or just the fixed aluminum trainers?

Currently I don't own a drone...

Tell you what,let someone use a Spydie Drone on you "once"!! You will then, grab the alum. trainer!:D Trust me!Pain is there with the alum.YOU then get an idea what YOU can do with the Spydie,hee!You will understand what I mean AFTER 1 MIN.! You will look at Yuk & say,"Boy was Jim right"!:D Me,I look forward to you all's after seminar report!
