Look Nov 1 they are going to S show my new mini Gunting the TUSOK @ the NY Custom Show...then Nov 2 I'll be teaching some gov agencies up north in NYC..

aww man.. i don't want to sound like a newbie, Bram, but what does INK mean? :confused:

so yeah, the first thing we're gonna do is hurt the instructor right? we'll go there, introduce ourselves, shake hands, and HURT THE INSTRUCTOR right? :D

Well I really hope I am able to learn and remember stuff at this seminar cause I think I will need it. My girl friend is pretty pissed about me going...something about how I should save up money instead...haha oh well she will be in Taiwan what can she do....

Wow. Any thread started with the words Gunting and involving the people of Vancouver has really carried on for a long time. This thread may even carry on after the seminar and beyond. You guys are a feversih bunch just waiting to tear into each other.
 
You know apparently there was a knife 'incident' at Banana Republic in the mall where I work today. Some raggedy guy was caught stealing and when confronted he pulled a knife and tried to slash at someone. Things like this give us a lot of bad publicity.

I'm just glad that I get the oppurtunity to work with the Gunting and with Bram and Steve and learn how to use the knife and all it's capabilities properly...and for more constructive purposes...other than been a danger to society...

I wonder how calm and collected I could've been if it was pulled on me.

The under cover security guard apparently did a pretty good job of 'de-fanging' the snake...wish I coulda seen that...
 
Thats pretty messed up, I hate Theives.

I had some "customer" in Bluenotes the other day...and he had a rep for stealing. My store manager doesn't want to boot him out instead we are suppose to keep an eye on him. that job was passed down to me cause I was working fitting. Punk steal a belt but I couldn't do nothing about it cause he may have put it back while I wasn't looking...so lame. could have been worse though he didn't pull anything thankfully.

It's pretty sad when someone has to stoop so low that they rob a store with a knife or a gun, or even robbing the store in the first place.

yeah, I'm wondering how calm and steady one would be in a heated situation too. I'm especially interested in how easily accessible would it be for me drawing the gunting from the sheath. Some people tend to be a bit clumsy when the adrenaline is pumping. I'll have to rely on my limps, hands and feet until I get trained.
 
aXed when Bram was talking about ink he means tattoos, he has an appreciation of them. Can I also say that he is a genuinely modest man, but watch for the glint in his eye when the steel is in his hand. U'll have a great time at the seminar, Bram is a fantastic teacher. Dead jealous I can't come; it's so far away.
 
Ahhh Mr Steve...I call him Mr Steve and Steve from BC 'Tiny" so I don't get them mixed up...though how anyone could miss or confuse BC Steve with anyone else is a wonder...Mr steve Drayton from the Land of OZ...is the CSSD Director in OZ...hes also a private personal satudent..and he's of course been kind enough to share house and family with me..
hmm so has "Tiny"...these Steves all have great family manners...

Yes..aXed..I'm into INK...tattoos.. I design them..like them..OK I love skin illustration.I hate ink used just to put ink on skin..
Sevral of the UK boys have CSSD designs on them..I have "FLOW" on my arm..my daughter has cool Filipino conceptual motion designs done by me made into celtic type designs...

aXed i have a great design for lower backs..cool arm bands..and in panic you can look at them and remind yourself of what you're supposed to do with your knife or Gunting..
ahhhhh permanent "crib" sheets..
hmmm OK its hard to see ones lower back I guess...
I have a couple designed to around one's belly button..

Ahh, love them!! Guys, feel I must issue a warning about Guntings & the Ladies! Guys use muscle,we "operate" like big trucks,ladies on the other hand, are smart!! They really understand the concept of the G, they use them with style,theit techniques are more percise!Where we are trucks "they" are like finely tuned sports cars!! You will find out!!hee!

Bram: so that's what INK means. i seriously would love a tattoo, but i'm still kinda under the same roof as the Queen Ruler aka my mom, so i'll have to wait...unless you can find me a place to move out to :D

if you could, maybe i could see some of your work? some pics maybe? i've been trying to design a tattoo for myself for so long, but i'm just not the artistic type, sucks ass! if you didn't notice, my avatar is actually a cropped tattoo off some girl's back, yeah, i've been online too, trying to get some ideas

man, less than a month to go, but i'm worried because i haven't paid Steve the deposit yet, was gonna pay him with some other stuff but he hasn't really got back to me on that "thing" :rolleyes:

my daughter got around the queen mother thing by asking me to design her first tattoo...and then went to see her mom and said "look what dad designed for me"....ahh the ole pit one parental unit against another...
I'll bring some flash ( tattoo designs) with me when I come up to BC...
The logo on the blade for example is Abaniko double action done as a celtic design..it resides on my daughters back..
several others are on her arms....
I did a "Filipno rose" for a lady's lower back..with filipino celtic design running behind & through it...
I'm still working on a tiger & Filipino conceptual design for Darren..over in UK..

Ok guys..now be nice to aXed..she might actually learn how to hurt..oops "persuade" you gents with a Gunting...sooooo be nice

Hey Bram thats sweet that you're into that kind of stuff...

Maybe you have some ideas for a Ram on my arm that needs some re-designing...looks slightly like a Dodge ram but not quite...could use some detail...but I'm saving that for later...thats a whole different kind of seminar!!

Well less than a month now...my G was starting to get all dusty from just laying around...can't wait to whip 'er into action!!!

I am in the same boat as aXed, as long as I'm still with my parents, no INK for me yet. However, I have an idea of what I want. Since I am the year of the dog under the chinese calender, I think a cool design of a dog will fit well on my right arm. I haven't found one to my liking yet. Just wondering if you have some cool designs of a dog?? Sorry, no bulldogs......

Went to my drawer to check up on the gunting, there was a thick layer of dust.....haha......as soon as I get the sheath and training, hopefully it'll never be like that.
