h1 to good to be true? YUP! not worth a penny IMO

Marthinus, thanks for the pics. Guess I have the newer version. I play in the Pacific alot and have seen zero rust on mine. I notice it does scratch easier than other blade steels, but as this one was obtained to be a beater for cutting bait and such its no biggie. I have noticed it can go from shaving to not by a few strokes either way on the hones though, guess I need to work harden the edge a bit.

What does the new logo look like? If one has a gen1 will you have to wait till it starts to rust or is Spyderco offering a recall?

Take note that the guy who had a Gen1 Salt only got it to rust (around the pivot) after an extremely brutal and long testing (months and months on end iirc, with dunks in salt water, dry, dunk, dry, dunk, dry, etc).
