Unquestionably, it is strange looking. I think the elephant shield I recently did suffered a bit from weird looking, too. They kind of need engraving, lol.

They both look great as is. Out of context without the knife - but then when you show them within the knife handle they come alive. The handle becomes the needed "engraving". You are on to something unique here and - I think - very salable.

The handle covers become the Mat, that flat rectangle of material around the border that goes between the picture and the frame. Perfectly.

Normally I would wait until the knife gets in my hands to do a right proper smoke lift off what I'm designing for, but I wanted to see what I was thinking before I laid down the cash for it.
