Could we find agreement on one point? I notice handamerican says whatever happened was years ago. DaveMartell, would you agree that whatever happened was years ago?

Matteo Escobar & DaveMartell, your innuendo that Keith is a drunk or impaired has nothing to do with this thread - it is NOT funny nor is it entertaining. Your linked post proves nothing but an allegation made by you Matteo and you clearly state that the product "arrived" a month late. It's painfully obvious that you two have no idea what doing "volume" business is like online.

I've closed several great websites to retire in the past few months. From my experiences in juggling at least 3 sites at any one time, you have to depend on people who supply products in most cases anyway. I listed a new product (this 2 weeks ago) the manufacturer assured me that he had 1000 units, that morning. I sold 800 to a contractor and was sitting on $1000's of his dollars. The manufacturer's rep calls me after I contacted my customer confirming delivery and says "oh, I made a mistake, I'm so sorry." Sh*t happens. There's no booze, drugs or insanity about it - it's just business (you can use that for your mafia lines).

In this thread, the thread you linked to and countless others you could research in Maintenance on HA or Keith's name, you'll find that the overwhelming majority of customers and members here like his products and like him.

Why don't you all back off and leave the man alone. Go kick your dog or whatever it is that you do in your spare time. :rolleyes:

In that original post, I was commenting on my experience. In this thread I was referencing the menacing and threatening email to sue me that I received as a result of that post. I believe you asked for more validation in respect to my claim earlier in this thread, and I pointed you to the post.

Kieth has clearly read my post to show the email and ignored it, now once again you are defending him, but with no real desire to validate my claim.

I'll tell you what, I will forward the original email to a moderator of GB&U, and perhaps they could state their impressions of it.

This is the bullshit I'm talking about though. Somebody treats you like shit, you post in a FEEDBACK forum about it, you get threatened with a lawsuit, and his buddies come in to call you a liar.

Take your own advice then. I don't a have nickel in their quarrel - a 2 on 1 btw, but I am offended by the presentation of their "beefs" within the posts and the way in which they're treating another member. I would stick up for you too in similar circumstances.
 
I think Matteo Escobar is actually Rod Graham.

If so, he didn't receive a free rod cradle back in 2007 and decided to post about how lousy our customer service was on numerous forums, all the while stating our products were great.

A member of knifeforums sent him an extra cradle to shut him up and I thought that was the end of it.

I guess not.

Rod, are you seeking some sort of satisfaction now? It's been almost four years, are you going to haunt me forever?

Will it always be a matter of you spotting a post where you can slip a negative comment in about handamerican you'll do so?

Surely you must have had life experiences, good times, bad times, great times, things you've done and accomplished that would have put this terrible incident so far back in your memory to render it inconsequential - no?

Really, even one bad meal in all this time should have moved your experience with me out of the line up.

I called to ask about them and he told me that he was going to make a batch soon, and when they were ready he would send them out to me. Two weeks go by and nothing, so I call again. He tells me they are almost ready. Three MORE weeks go by and I call again. This time he actually has a little attitude with me, like I'm bugging him. You can quote something that you claim I said to you verbatim but you don't remember the date of the order. The order came in on March 10th 2003, four years ago.

I don't show any record of any email correspondence with you, and I don't recall of there being a problem with your order.

I don't know what your ambition was in posting your remarks on Bladeforums, but as a result you have convinced a potential customer to cancel their plans to place an order with us.

Using a pseudonym on a public forum to berate our fine company is a cheap shot at best. The fact that we have lost revenue due to your claim of a problem that may or may not have happened four years ago makes it worse.

I'll give you until the end of the day today, 3/21/07 to produce some documentation substantiating your claim. If you do so and there was a legitimate problem I'll do my best to rectify it. If you are unwilling or unable to do so I will respond to your post on Bladeforums and include this correspondence.

In addition, be advised that If I don't hear from you I will seek a legal interpretation as to my rights to recover losses based on your actions.

Exactly which part of my post do you take umbrage with? Are you saying that you did ship the strops with my order? Are you saying that I didn't have to call you three times? Are you saying that you did not ask me if I could not sharpen my knives without them?

What I posted is accurate, if you would like to dispute it on Bladeforums that is certainly your right.

Clearly there is no way for me to prove that the strops were not sent to me until weeks after the original shipment arrived at this point. However, you can prove it. If you are truly trying to find out if I'm telling the truth, and you keep accurate records of everything shipped out of your shop, go back and check.

Well, I was considering buying one of the glass rods for my father for his upcoming birthday. I'm thinking I'm going to pass, at this point.

I'm posting because you all seem to have missed the point of the thread, or at least failed to comprehend why he posted.

He did not want a new rod. He did not want his money back.

He wantwed these questions answered first, that's all.

I’m worried what those imperfections might do the edge of my blades. Does anyone have a HA borosilicate rod? Is your rod like mine or did I get a bad one? I’ve read so many good reviews of this rod that I find hard to believe it is this bad.
