Handle Requests & Suggestions

I liked this "Sweet Bubblegum" material, I love that it's rare but think it's kinda fun, especially for the smaller blades. It's hard to see in my (bad) photos how it sparkles and pops! Not to everyone's taste I'm sure.

I agree, I think it would be great to see the pinecone more.
How cool does this SP look, really...
I love the gumballs and the pine cones!

My request is doublemint g10 over natural liners/pins with a mosaic pin. Tapered tang. Pretty please with sugar on top. :)

I'd like to see the synthetics with black bolsters and thick black liners. Love the cornflower blue but not a fan of the white and natural liners with it. I enjoy the the thicker liners in general.

Also more dyed palm with tapered tangs please. Amazing how light those handles are.

I also like the predator pinout.

How about some guardless runs? I think there would be a high demand for some guardless Kepharts and Hiking Buddys. A guardless Kephart in 1/8" tapered tang with nat canvas handle is my current grail. Please make one!

And it's been awhile since we've seen natural canvas micarta as the main handle. Nat canvas over orange pinstripes or liners looks awesome. Subdued yet significant. Might as well as add the OD canvas, haven't seen that in awhile either. The burlap and the burls have been dominating lately but they don't do as much for me as others.

Since I'm here, I might as well ask for more of the layered micartas, like the camo and brown/black. There are some real fancy combos on the synthetics market that have amazing reveals when all done up.

Andy/Ken et al,

I would really like to see an EDC or EDC II in curly mango, curly maple or similar with a blue sandwiched bolster with blue in CPM 154. A friend of mine here in LA (not too far from Rayne matter of fact) sent back a orange bushfinger for warranty inspection. I believe y'all are going to run him out a CPM 154 blade as a replacement (with an up charge for the steel change of course). You could always cut the EDC from the CPM 154 with the BF and toss them in the same box, shoot me a message for prompt payment...Now that's efficiency :). Carbon steel work here on the coast, but SS holds up so much better. We basically have salt in the air.
Sharking has been a total frenzy, so I would imagine this my best chance at a SS EDC. A man can wish...

I think that Bushfinger, and the oak Hiking Buddy were among the first bolstered Fiddlebacks, and the BF had the smallest I have seen since. I recall Andy saying something then about The Hunter I have, which I got the next year I think, has a bolster pretty well in line with that Hiking Buddy, which is about 1/3 of the handle, and the Hiking Buddy I picked up later that year. Then the Lady finger I picked up later was from that same period I think. Then later it seemed he moved to much larger bolsters closer to 50/50 and those didn't appeal to me so much either, but did to others. Then they seem to have gotten smaller again on the last one, the cornflower blue recluse with natural bolsters, and I am perfectly happy with that, and wouldn't complain at all about a hair smaller. That said, after the ohers I have had, the Bushfinger looks oddly small compared to all the others, though I think that style would look really cool on the smaller knives. I hope to at some point pick up a cornflower blue Bushboot with natural bolsters, and I it would look great with the smaller bolster style.

I always called these the "domino bolsters". They remind me of dominos obviously. The are likely my favorite of all the handle variations. I love the extra pins in contrasting, opposite colors. These knives are what I think of when I think Fiddleback. Not way early editions and yet not some of the more exotic of late. Middle of the spectrum...possibly "classic." At least in my mind.

Nice!! I was resigned to it fading away w/o comment. I must've seen that movie a couple dozen times growing up.

I like the ides of the "classic" line:
