Not long after joining the porch I aquired a type of knife I didn't even know existed. It was obviously old,but in pretty good shape, the bolsters had seen some heavy pitting in the past, and some on the backsprings. But the blades were full, and no play and it still snaps like an angry gator. But what WAS it? So I came and posted it in the old knives thread, and I got all my questions answered, even ones I didn't know to ask! Guess most of you may guess the knife I'm talking about is my first truly old knife. My Challenge HJ, which Charlie knew so much about! I so far haven't acquired one of his fine knives, but thinking which ones was on my wish list, I think it safe to say "All of them!" Lol. But those Washington HJ's, thats a grail for sure! A very happy birthday, and continued good health!

Dave
I'm a bit partial to that photo myself;). His collection has grown, but that was his first, and still favorite knife. You've left a lasting impression on both boys sir!

Charlie, you give so much, as though it's always everyone else's birthday, I can only wish you the very best on yours!

A very HAPPY BIRTHDAY Charlie:thumbsup: I have many knives and many gifted from several friends (Charlie included) that I will NEVER part with. However when I bought this it was directly from Charlie, back then I'd email Charlie and order right from him. This one arrived on my Birthday in 2013, rode continuously for 13+ months. This is MY knife and one that will never leave. It has been with me for the highest highs and lowest lows, it speaks to me of moments in my life, happy and sad. I LOVE this knife!!! Thank you Charlie:thumbsup::)

Happy Birthday, Charlie! Wishing you many more.
Very well said in the opening post, Dave, truer words were never spoken! Thanks for posting the harness jacks and all the TC barlows, that is a pile of SFOs. I believe I have the yo-yo picture, but am a long ways from home and the computer that it is on.
