The selection process and use of rune stones certainly must of imbued some magical power to the little blue 25

Congrats Jody, and thank you Sarah for the GAW! I hope you had a very happy birthday!

Thanks also for the Lincoln Memorial lighting history lesson! Another tidbit about the Lincoln Memorial; much of the white exterior marble comes from an area near the town of Marble, Colorado, and is called "Yule Marble".

Email received, knife packed and Click-n-Shipped for departure today, email responded to with tracking information. :)

As far as the Winner Selection method, I mentioned in my first post:
I hate (hate) having to pick just one winner, so will determine the recipient in whatever randomly fair method I come up with when the time comes.

Random.org seemed, seems, too sterile for what has been an eminently personal foray into these knives and this subforum, and especially as a means of resolving this particular giveaway. Plus, it makes the whole thing over too soon! Boom!

I'm glad you all appreciated my efforts at hands-on randomization. I tried to make it as fun as possible for me-- including that, after eliminating a wide swath of cards early on, and without looking at any of them, I started over; I wanted everyone to still have a chance for just a little longer. :o

Thank you again for playing!

I'm not done with this thread, yet. I have a few more comments about some of y'all's stories and pictures. Feel free to keep talking yourselves, at least until jody744 receives his knife. :)

~ P.
