Happy hour. What are you Fiddlebacks listening to?

Oops. Sorry bro. I was referring to Nathans post above. I wasn't looking carefully enough and thought that was a Duder post!

I would always get a kick out of this one when I finally gave them a chance.

OK, I've probably worn out the 80's. Back to the 70's we go.

Since we're back in the 70's, do you think I could get away with a bare chest and jacket for work tomorrow?

Good stuff Duder. I hope I'm not sacrilegious by saying this, but Black Sabbath is only Black Sabbath with Ozzy.

Um yeah, might want to wear something else.

Just messin' with ya bra.

Going back even further - and it's about to get real in here. Here's the song I used to tell my then future wife that I loved her for the first time:

Ahhhh... Zeppelin. This is my wife's favorite from them. I can always get her to do a shot to this song.

This is a good song to drink slushy, ice cold white zin down by the river to.

Awesome Joe! Such a great picture.

This is one of the songs I'd crank on the Alpine in my '68 Camaro (yes, I still have it) as I'd head to the mountains to disappear for a week. Heck, listening to it now makes me want to jump in the car and just start driving.

Zep is easily one of my all time top 5. So many memories wrapped up in them that I sometimes have a hard time listening now.

One last one as i head out, dreaming of wandering.

It's a good day and end to a most stressful week. I have a cold one in hand and it looks like the rest of the week is all down hil from here.

Here's a double shot from one of my favorite Stones albums.

This one always gets the wife dancing.

I'm off to go see one of my favorite bands. Malo's been around for a while, if you haven't heard them, you should give them a shot. These guys hit the nostalgic nerve in me. Reminds me of growing up and hanging tough on the East Side of San Jose.

Got some tunes from one of my fav obscure 80s bands on a quiet Sunday and the house is empty.

Good one bonafide!

Adding on to it, I'll make a themed post: some of the bands that I saw at Rainbow Music Hall (the iconic concert venue of the 80's in Denver). The Rainbow was a great place to see a show. Small (1300 seats), you were right on top of the stage. You could hang out after the show and meet the bands.

Yes, Stryper. :)

I also saw The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, Midnight Oil, New Order and I'm sure other's I can't remember some 30 years later.

I was tracking til Stryper .. lol.

Midnight Oil was one of my favorite 80s bands from the first time i saw Power and The Passion video on "Friday Night Music Videos' in 1983. That 7 ft bean-pole bald guy jumping around like a madman was intriguing. heh.
Echo and the Bunnymen were on a few mix tapes I had as well as They Might be Giants, Black Flag and the Circle Jerks.

Which leads me to put on some Public Image Ltd ..

Sorry about the Stryper, just showing my diverse taste (or lack thereof). I had the band sign a yellow and black bandana that then hung from my yellow and black camaro's rear view mirror after the concert.

All good stuff there. Black Flag had a pretty infamous show at the Rainbow where the opening act stripped and got hauled off to jail and Rollins had to bail them out.

Good ol' Johnny Rotten.

Here's some more Malo and a picture my daughter and I at the Malo concert next to one of the nicest oldies I've ever seen.

Cute pic Joe. That's a sweet car. I also like the Disney Princess plate being used for the limes for the Modelo and Tequila.
