Happy hour. What are you Fiddlebacks listening to?

It feels like a Todd Snider night tonight. Todd's a pretty good time in concert, however, the stories that he tells (once he has enough drinks) are better than his songs!

Here is a classic for sure. And a must listen to...............especially if you like Slash.

A double shot of one of the best rock bands of all time.

I thought Pink Floyd had given their "Final Cut", but I guess they're not done yet. Supposedly they're dropping a new album in October. I'd sell most of my Fiddlebacks to see them. I saw Roger Waters do The Dark Side of the Moon and it was hands down the best sounding concert I've ever been to and I've been to a ton.

Here's one of my faves. Depressing, but you just can't beat the sax solo at the end.

I've been slacking. Nice way to pull it off the back pages Duder!

Anything wrong with a little Pixies?

Nothing wrong with Pixies. That's a good one! Makes me want to go for an evening drive, fast.

All right Duder! I have avoided participating in this thread because no one has mentioned Pink Floyd or Neil Young. Now that you have shared your passion for Pink Floyd, I will double-down on your willingness
to trade my best Fiddleback for a front row seat to see David Gilmour, Roger Waters, and Nick Mason to play together again. Too bad that Rick Wright passed away. They were the most influential group to me in my teens/twenties.

I'm glad you mentioned Neil Young. He hits home. I go to The Bridge School Benefit every year just to see him. In this thread I've posted a lot of Neil with Crazy Horse, but maybe I haven't posted any Neil on his own.

Here's a few mellow ones by Neil. The first one is a duet that Neil Young does with Arcade Fire. Yours truly was at this concert and the Duder was feeling good. Though the quality is bad, Neil plays a mellow harp.

This one is just a nice sunset "On the Beach" type of song.

Great stuff guys. Spent many a weekend chilling to Pink Floyd growing up.

Here's another from my way back days.

Oh yeah Nathan, absolutely NOTHING wrong with Tom Petty. Gainesvilles finest!

Here is my favorite of his. The video is noteworthy too. Long live the 80's!

Here is a little more Tom Petty.............this time singing harmony for one of my favorite songwriters, John Prine.

It's now officially a thread! I'm honored that you chimed in Jules. Man, that is one bad jam. You dug deep into the vault for that one. Nice:thumbup:

Here's one that makes me think of my childhood. Though I was born in '78, I had the old white tape that you didn't know what side you were inserting into the walkman because the ink was worn out. This is my favorite song from the Harvest album. A little meloncholie but I like it. Cheers!

Duder, Harvest is in my top 5 all time! I too had the cassette that got played to death - not a bum track on it. I see they've released a multi cd/dvd CSNY box set of Live stuff from '74. If I could stop buying knives I'd be able to afford it...
The Neil Young BBC session from 1971 is one of my favorites - just him and guitar/piano/harmonica and some polite, well behaved british youths cross-legged on the floor.

Second favorite from the album. This one's for Comprehensivist.

Packing my gear and going over my playlists. Heading to the sierras for a bit. Gonna introduce my Big Paw to some brookie, brown and rainbow belly!! Thank goodness I got stainless, we're supposed to have rain, thunder and lightning, oh boy...

Here's a few from the playlist...

Have fun Duder! Sounds like a great way to get that Big Paw (Bear Paw? I get so confused) dirty.

I've been a Blink-182 fan forever and have been on a kick lately. So here are some of my favorites from them and a couple of the various side projects:

Blink-182

Michael Schenker was the guy who made me buy a guitar!

Thanks Duder! That is one of my favorites too because I have basically lived that song. In 1991 I said, "I think I'll pack it in and buy a Pick-up and take it down to L.A." I moved back for a job and hoping to find the right woman. Twenty-three years later and I have a different job, but I still have the right woman.

I have one other piece of trivia that you will appreciate. During that first year after I moved back, I went to a concert at Universal Amphitheater that featured four guys who said that they always wanted to get together for a benefit concert. Those guys were Neil Young, Roger Waters, Don Henley, and John Fogerty. Talk about a Rock & Roll fantasy camp team - Wow!
