Man, I love love that one. That's a must have in a Stones playlist for sure. The slide acoustic guitar solo in the very beginning is the last musical contribution Brian Jones ever gave the Stones. It's Brian's swan song. Life in the fast lane.

The slide guitar is so emotional, it's what drew me to the song. I'm exploring the Stone's right now and so far I'm loving it. If you have any album recommendations let me know! As of now I'm a big fan of Exile, Beggars Banquet, and Sticky Fingers but they seem to be the most popular. Give me some deep cuts man :cool:

Warning: I'm more of a B-side Stones guy. Their popular stuff is popular for a reason- It's great listening, get you outa bed and in a good mood music. But I like the stuff that gets no radio play.


The next time you're in a good mood or have a nice beer buzz going, check out the Duder's b-sides. There's some good ones...

Thanks so much man that's exactly what I was looking for! I'm generally more interested in music that wasn't made for success. As I'm sure you've gathered, I'm a huge Neil fan, but I don't enjoy Harvest nearly as much as On the Beach or Tonight's the Night. Those were commercial flops but it's what he wanted to make, that's how it should be.

The one downside of youtube is that we find a good version of a video and some nimrod gets it removed. This video is an example, it replaced a version that was in color with better sound. But the song is a good listen.

Ahh... This happens a few times a year around here. In my opinion (that's really worth absolutely nothing) I think it could have been handled better.... Check that... Privately, but we are only human after all. Things will calm down after a bit, but in the meantime...
