Our bird is still in the brine, but the kitchen is buzzing with preparations. Can't take any credit for the food, it's all my wife, but I'm good at eating so it all works out.

They're both cider-bourbon apple pies. We couldn't let any of the apples go to waste, so all the extra bits went in the skillet. I think she used half a cup of Maker's in the filling.
