FYI, I tried Frog Lube and over time it would crystallize and cause the knife to feel gritty.

Excellent choices. They should work very well for you.
And if they don't, they are popular models so you won't have any problem selling them.
No need for fancy lubes. Good ol' mineral oil works just fine. $3/pt in any pharmacy.

Definitely another good option. My only gripe with mineral oil is it doesn't work as a dry-lube like TG does.
