Harpoon shaped blades. Why?

It's based on a Joshua Fisher/Edge Knife Works pattern called a Huntsman. The blade and handle are larger than his usual Huntsman. The blade to handle ratio was increased. It also has the harpoon added.

@PRT Brought this thread back from 2019.... he was asking for help getting someone to GRIND OFF that feature.
I agree with him, I don't like harpoons either!

the knife above that I liked would look Better without one (IMO)
