Harpoon shaped blades. Why?

It's based on a Joshua Fisher/Edge Knife Works pattern called a Huntsman. The blade and handle are larger than his usual Huntsman. The blade to handle ratio was increased. It also has the harpoon added.

PRT Brought this thread back from 2019.... he was asking for help getting someone to GRIND OFF that feature.
I agree with him, I don't like harpoons either!

the knife above that I liked would look Better without one (IMO)
