Hartsfield?

No.........this means we are trying to butter you up so that you will invite us over sometime and we can steal your knife collection and that double rifle:D

I already got an invite...he said something about deep sea fishing, and mumbled something else about grease, sweaty men and fish guts....I politely declined...you're closer out there, Joe Mandt, you go!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

It's not the size of the tuna that concerns me, but the size of the boat. Where do you manage to fit the fighting chair, tower, outriggers, staterooms, air conditioners, TV's, icemakers, fridge drawers, watermaker..........oh, and most importantly the diesel inboards and an enclosed crapper that actually flushes?:D I be a spoiled South Florida boy!

Joe P. fails to mention that all these men are out of work oompa loompas, and the fish featured is actually a mackerel!:D

Joe I love the big diesels grew up fishing express's and salon boats but we run on average 70 to 80 miles offshore and fish multiple canyons in a day not uncommen to run with out counting trolling 200 miles a day. We all started switching over to go fast boats and never looked back. Who has time for a 6 hour ride out and another 6 back. We might be a little uncomfortable but we go like hell.
Here is my sled striper fishing

My friend....you are still laboring under the impression that big boats are slow. We recently downsized to a 52 Viking Express. Unfortunately it will only top out at about 39 knots. Our old Monterey 65 would top out at around 43-44 knots:D Remember that I grew up in South Florida, the land of ridiculously fast and riduculously expensive big cold molded custom boats. With that said, Viking has learned a lot of tricks from the captains and the custom builders since they came out of bankruptcy and although you still need more engine to push a glass boat at the same speed as a wood boat, vViking is pretty much blowing Hatteras and Betram out of the water as far as big facotry sportfishermen go. The Vkings are also VERY good in rough head seas. Maybe not quite as good as the Carolina boats, but close and a bit faster with the same weight and horsepower. With that said, if Warren Buffett died tomorrow and left me a big chunk o' money in his will, I would still have Rybovich or Whiticar build my big boat.

Joe I know big boats can go fast but they also cost big bucks and I am a lowly red neck with a hard on for double rifles and Marco Polo hunting. Believe me If I could afford the big boat I wanted I would be there but I would probale lean toward a big Davis express do not care for the salon boats much they are beautiful but I like the look and fishability of an express better. Hey give me a call sometime I am sure people are getting sick of us talkin fishing on a knife forum . Always a pleasure sir. 610 657 9515

As long as you are not buying a boat from Buddy. He is a charming rogue, but a rogue nontheless. We backed out of a 61 after the thired of fourth delay and that was a very wise decision...lol. As for the fishing talk in this thread, at least it is friendly and polite:D

Leu thank you for the picture. But I have no idea how many degrees it is from the bevel to the edge. Btw your knife is still on my dream. Hope it will come true in the near future:-)
