Has anyone seen this knife?

screw him, fight it in court. if you can prove it was yours, and that he has it, and that he was compensated, you may get it back

To the point of keeping an eye out for that knife, who made it, you?
And what does the maker's mark look like?
Any other unique markings or features?
What was the engraving going to be? Floral, geometric, animals scene, etc.

I got home from work a little bit ago to find a email from Christian.

Christian said he found two of the knives. He says he was talking to a friend of his and explaining to him about the knives. His friend looked at him and said that he has those knives. Christian said that his friend was learning to make knives and asked if he could borrow them to look at for study.

Reading this my spirit rose, thinking that this dreadful affair would be soon over with. You would think that after discovering that I had actually sent him more than one knife and that his memory was wrong that he would say I'm sorry and that he would get the engraving done ASAP. Instead to my shock the next line said that he removed the engraving from the one knife and will send me the two knives in the mail tomorrow. Then spends the next few paragraphs threatening to sue me and the website again.

The 3 things he lists is that I posted the wrong picture, that I stated he owes me $4200, and that I had posted that he had said that he thought one of two people working for him stole it. So I will go over the facts.
He did tell me that he thought one of two people working for him stole it. So that is true.
The $4200 is correct. The knife is worth $1200. $3000 for a engraving job came directly from Christians mouth 6 months ago. So this is also true.
He says the picture isn't the right one. He says that the knife he has is similar but not the one in the picture. To my memory this was the knife. But could I be wrong on this? Sure. Everyone makes mistakes. I know for a fact it was my Image dagger. In my memory it had 4 screws in the bolster. I only did that on a few knives of this model that I made all within a few months time. In my memory it also had a damascus blade. If I am wrong and the knife posted above wasn't the one that I sent to Christian then I issue a very humble apology to the person that does own the knife pictured above. I will try my best to make amends to that person if I have harmed that person in any way. Its very possible that the two knives he has are the ones I traded for the engraving on the Image Dagger. He didn't include a picture in his email nor did he say that it was the same model only that it was similar.

Again I very much appreciate all the support everyone has given me.

A little over two years was my limit with one maker before finally taking action. FYI, there are too many great engravers with solid reputations in the US to ever go to an unknown who is taking his work overseas to practice on.

Best of luck in getting your knives back, and hopefully his "removing the engraving" on one didn't screw up the bolster. Beautiful knife by the way.
