Has Busse destroyed your interest in other fixed blades?

A few weeks ago I had a shot at a grail, or so I thought. The knife was a Rick Hinderer custom field tac. I sold my hell razor and one of Hinderer XMs. I got the field tac and no matter how hard I tried to be excited I remained nonplus. While XMs and SAKs and a couple microtech otfs will likely remain the only folders that interest me (mainly the XM). But the field tac was sold this morning and it taught me that busses are the only fixed blades for me. Had to lose my hell razor to learn this lesson but now I know. Anyone else lose interest in other fixed blades or did I drink too much?

I wander over to the Becker/Chris Reeve/Murray Carter/Winkler side on occasion, but always return to the 'kins...;-)

ya... I have

Its the INFI dust - it gets in your blood and then its all over - resistance is futile....

To answer your question. ....yes..yes they did...use to like Becker, then Tops, and Ontario. ..but once I found Busse...all non Busse knives made their way out of my possession. Only carry a Strider folder and a Busse now...the SMF is keeping the INFI folder position warm until its release in two weeks.

More importantly, Busse has destroyed my BUDGET for other fixed blades….

I do actually have a rather large list of other fixed blades that have my interest, sadly I haven't picked any other fixed blades up since getting my first rat a few years back….. :o

Hahahaha! This! ^^^

Busse knives are like the chick that....... Well. Um.... How do I put this? Helps you realize what you've been missing all this time. That's it. After that, you may try other options, but, knowing that the best is out there. Well. You just can't help but want more.

Nothing against the other str-*... Oops. Women out there.

Other than kitchen knives (does that count?) and Murray Carter's knives, Busse is pretty much all I'm interested in now. I'm hooked

I met that woman a few years ago....but no So now all I have to sooth my soul is Busse Knives...;)

What Busse has done to my knife buying, is to make me a lot more picky.

I do buy other brands, but only if I can put my hands on the knife before putting down the $$.

Therefore, I went ahead and got my self a Battle Horse knife at Bladeshow this year. Very nice little knife.
At Bladeshow '13 I picked up a Fiddleback, which I like a lot.

Do I trust those knives, the way I trust my Busses and kin? No...

But for the purpose I intended those knives to serve, they fit the bill.

Oh, and then there is my Lionsteel M3, which was a gift from my girlfriend. That one takes a beating, and does not seem to care.

I like all knives, but Busse is my main group. I do get customs though

I'm getting there, but I'm still hanging on to a few O-1 blades with osage orange or ironwood (JK and Fiddleback Forge)

I have only Busse/kin blades and of course my Izulas [emoji12][emoji7][emoji41]

When it comes to large knives I already own my two grail knives: FFBM and FBM LE
When it comes to smaller knives I prefer Survive knives and ESEE

Nice Izula's!

Other than Tglb, the new combat grade ash and a few older Busse knives i've had for years Martins have been sucking up my knife funds for a while.

Busse/Kin and ESEE are about it for me in fixed blades these days. There are a few others that I find "eye catching", Fiddleback, Battle Horse, GSO but in the end I spend the $$s on something from Busse....

I started collecting Randall's with the one I carried in Viet Nam (going to the grave with me)so when I find a #5 or #7 or #14 I try to pick em off...however my Busse collection has grown considerably because they are great to use and easier to obtain.

Yeah, Busse or bust for me... there used to be others, but Busse is all I reach for...
