Hmmmm.... well a lot of the guys into martial arts carry like 3 of them. One for using (GW or culti), one for self defense only (integral dagger), and a multi-purpose backup (culti or GW).

Then you could carry all three :D

I don't post much, and I buy even less (though I've seen my fair share of ASH-1's, BATACLE's, and SAR-3's, the latter being my latest acquisition, the former two coming through my hands more than twice... something else always seems to come up, though), but I've got a question to ask of you.

You buy and sell a lot of knives, and sometimes you post pictures of those very special knives that sit at the back of your safe, but do you have ONE that you would never sell?

I'm sure that you've got a few of very rare, one-off, incredibly expensive knives that you probably want to hold on to, but I'm talking about that ONE that you can't help but touch every time you open the safe door, the one that seems to be an extension of your arm, fits perfectly in your hand, and most importantly, just makes you want to cut something.

I haven't had the benefit of getting my hands on the multitude of knives that Busse and family have put out - no more than about 6 models (including a Ruck that was in my possession for all-too-short a time), but so far the BATACLE makes me smile the most (I'd love to get hands on a Tank Buster for a little while, though...) I'd like to know which of your knives makes you feel that way.

Don't get too caught up on buying or selling price, rarity or individuality - it could be a BAD or a bone-stock CG ASH - but I'm wondering which blade you pick up every time you visit the safe. :)

Well, this Dagger was supposed to be the knife that you mentioned above, would have been really nice if I could carry it everywhere I go. But we all have a grail knife. I would never carry my grail Busse. I don't have it yet, and I know if I get it, it will never be sold. I know who has it and have been trying like heck to get it back, still trying and he knows who he is...
So I keep trying to come up with some killer Busse to try to trade cause at this point, money is not an option for him for me to acquire the knife. I'll find something he wants more...
And for those of you that don't know what it, it's my very first Busse ever... and since then, I have came a long way and owe it all to the very first one... so it has meaning behind it and not just another beautiful knife...

We all have our grail knives, and that's what keeps up coming back for more, to be able to find it... Even if it means we have to get others to trade to get it...

The problem with an "EDC" (Every Day Carry) knife and a "user" knife is that those two terms can be mutually exclusive. A user certainly might not be carried except rarely, and an EDC can simply be carried, but never used. Not using a knife is the cardinal rule for dealers, since doing so would drastically impact the bottom line--the almighty $. Using a knife can also drastically reduce the number of folks who may be interested in purchasing it. So "use" equates to fewer buyers willing to pay less. That does not bode well in a business model, regardless of mark-up. An unused EDC, however, well, that can be represented by some as "unused" and nobody is the wiser. It would be technically unused, but still subject to handling marks that may or may not get noticed by a future buyer.

In this case, I would be surprised if any of these knives got used or carried. It's just not what dealers do.
 
Well I don't know about all that was said here but HACK Bear Cub's are too small for anyone to use !!!! Or EDC !!

I will take them off anyone's hands and take care of them for everyone :)

Don't be mad someone has something you don't, make it a challenge to get something he/she wants more so you can get that knife off of them. I see tons of knives I would really want but happy other score big too. But recently there have been some bad vibes on here. So lets keep it positive so more members come and have fun. Life's just too short to be mad all the time.



Yea, I'm better now. If I felt well at Knob Creek maybe I would have bought more knives:D

That message was for Eric, I showed him a few really nice knives I had because he was nice enough to bring and show me some of his that I wanted to see. I had messaged him ahead of time and wanted to see something in his collection. I wasn't feeling well that night so I actually don't remember all that much including what I had showed him. Anyone that went there knows I wasn't feeling well that night even though it was supposed to to a happy and exciting day for me.

Have you found one? What have you been carrying? Surely something at Knob Creek! That Mammoth SAR3 would probably be a good one. Nice leather sheath to go along with it!
 
What makes it difficult for me to find an edc busse is the talon hole, which occupies too much knife space imho. I can live with it on larger blades, but on edc-sized knifes every millimeter counts. That's why I can only recommend two options:

1. Hack Active Duty. Knife and pic from Jaxx (I hope you don't mind my posting it here, brother!)
