Hey Liu,
Fantastic group in your OP!!!!:eek::eek:

This is just about the nicest looking blade EVER!!!!!
Something in wood:

Congrats on some AWESOME scores!!
And that mammoth tooth dagger is AMAZING!!!!!!
You have a truly AMAZING collection of Busse art!!!! ;)
Thank you for sharing!!!!

I have stated this before as far as encounters with a LEO;

1. You have to do something to warrant the attention of a LEO to cause the encounter.
2. The LEO has to have reasonable suspicion that you are in possession of a illegal item or substance to search you or your property--(vehicle)
3. Would i rather have a knife or firearm in a Concealed Carry situation, the latter I would surmise.
4. Almost all enclosed public places has a no firearms allowed placard at the entrance to their establishments, so you are breaking the law anyway or taking your weapon off a great deal of the time, more than carrying it.
5. Most cities and municipalities has a ordinance, hence a law that states that it is a misdemeanor offense to spit on the sidewalk or street, so quite a few of us are law breakers and habitually so.

Remember you have to draw the attention of a Law Enforcement Officer to have the encounter, so carry away at will unless, you feel like you will NEED to piss one off.

Just as a little add on we had a retired former LEO to shoot 2 of three robbers at a Pizza Hut here in Charlotte and the third one has not been caught yet, he is still running, LOL.

Take it from a 30 year retired LEO, gotta love it when a plan comes together.

Nice dagger dude, got to hold one of dobywon's at Blade 09, when they came out.

Hey Stjones,
What are BC knife laws like? I have never really thought much about it aside from crossing the border. I guess I should have when I was walking around Vancouver this summer with 2 fixed blades and 2 folders.

Blade laws are slack here but I have to agree with stricknine's above post.
I personally DON'T do anything that will put heat on me.
I've packed an ESEE 4 or my Dumpster Mutt around with NO worries.

I guess the issue is that an EDC knife is one that you would want to be able to take out and use for EDC tasks, legally, in front of a LEO without any issues.

People get pulled over and searched all the time in Ca. If you have a tow ball covering your license plate you'll get drug out and searched. Not all folks know their rights and LEOs' know that.

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!!

Is that carry wear I see on the slide lock? What holster do you use? I love Glocks. I don't ever really carry unless I am in the cities.

The first folder looks beefy!

Actually I am surprised that the Busse folders that have been produced have not been posted here.

.

Jerry doesn't like it when I post pictures of the Proto..............

I think the SAR-3 is a very nice EDC.

It is certainly not as exclusive as some of the ones you have shown here, but it is small enough to carry in a multitude of ways, including in-pocket, which is a plus in an urban environment.

Its handle is comfortable in almost any grip (of course it needs sanding down of the sharp edges) and it can certainly do anything you would ask in an EDC role.

The nuclear treatment is also nice with the rounded spine so you could get your thumb on there for good control & leverage. Just a solid little EDC fixed blade.

And in Pumpkin / Orange, its appearance is probably perceived as a little friendlier, along with the shorter blade that does not look as much like a weapon than most of the ones in your initial pictures.

I know you like the Meaners but I have to say I would never use one in public, or any of the longer narrower knives. Shorter is good when you are around people.

Yes, they are very sweet knives. I think they are great and would make a great EDC. I have that one and I know of someone else that has one too.

I'd go with the culti, nice small fixed blade with a general purpose blade shape.

I use the one I got from you all the time :)

I'm glad you use yours all the time. Yea, I've been thinking about it, I might get a few, different ones for different occasions. I really love that Culti too... I love a lot of them, that GW is so mad sharp... I still really love that Integral Dagger though, it's so Beautiful!
So many nice ones, I don't see why I should have to choose just one...

yup same thing here....illegal to carry but legal to own.

something looks really familar about that shade of mammoth ;)

I dont think you have to choose just one. I rotate my EDC knives. I also carry different knives depending on what I am doing.
