Once you say something like that...welllllllll you better get ready for the pooooop storm coming your way. That statement is way over the top and insulting to many great blademakers be they making knives now or a hundred years ago.

if someone is a self respecting person, then I can see that "I am like no other..." post being complete BS and more likely another playing tricks.
I wish we could find out for sure if it is him or not.

I gotta laugh about the "originality" claim from him there too. Go look at his website, he's got your basic bowie blade. Handles strongly favor a khukuri on some, others are run of the mill. He's got a line up of deeply hollow ground fighters.There's also a kerambit on there. All things I have seen members here do and do well.
Now they all look to be well made, and the guy definitely has a wide range of skills for knifemaking. They all seem to be good cutters too. But to say that any of it is really unique or a new realm of american bladesmithing is a little much.

Ooooookay. Biting my tongue. Been down this road before.

On the whole "asskickingness" issue. The list of people who could kick my ass is very long and not particularly distinguished (inclusive of likely more than half the population of any given penitentiary). I can't imagine why being possessed of the ability to kick my ass should, in and of itself, make a person worthy of my respect.

Master Shiva KI here, Take it from me, the best blades for the money are, hands down, Cold Steel. Their black blades, S30V and their swords are a flat
out steal, and they cut aggressively. Get them while you can, can`t go wrong.

This guy has been around a long time, when I started making knives in the early 80s he was a fairly well know maker, his knives were featured in the mags and the Knives Anual. A good friend of mine, an early MS from La said there was always a lot of contraversy around Shiva Ki and his mouth got him into trouble. If I remember correctly he was kicked out of the Guild but I'm not sure if he has ever been in the ABS. He disappered from the knife scene 10 or 15 years ago but seems to have poped back in as of late. From what I've heard over the years his biggest attribute is the sharpness of his blades and I've been told they are super sharp. I don't care much for his boasting but if a maker creates enough buzz around himself he will sell knives.

Now, I'm not deffinding this guy and I don't agree with him, just telling what I know about him. He seems to be making more enemies than friends.
