I just reread an article on shiva ki in blades international online mag.
In that article it has the same picture of the severed oak limb, but
states that it took four swings to go through it.

I for one would say that is very misleading.. :eek:

My blades are outcutting the top Master smiths,3 to 1. No one can
come close to my blades.

now thinking about this
3 to 1 means 1 out of 3 out cuts his
then he says
No one can
come close to my blades
isn't he contradicting himself?

some guys will buy into anything
think about hail bop <Spelling, comit and the deaths from that.. :rolleyes:

Agreed, Tracy. I'm surprised it went this far. I tried to derail it by injecting some humor, but it didn't really work. I make it a practice not to ridicule other makers or customers. Its just not proper. Let's agree to keep this type of stuff out of here from now on. We got enough to handle in Shoptalk with the recent batch of newcomers, we don't need our beloved forum to turn into Pirates Cove do we? ;)

well I agree to a point :confused:
we as a whole don't need a black eye from this stuff either,,, by misleading customers..
and I don't mind calling someone on it. I've done this in the past,
if someone says their blades are a lot better than mine and they have not
even handle one of them ..
they can not say they are the best. it's untrue unless proven .
among the best would be a fairer way to put it..if need be,
I agree a personal attack has not a place here but claims of this type
should be ventured into to discredit faults advertising of any kind
he is using our Broards to push this.. only MHO :(

That's a valid point also, Dan. I respect that. I think this thread as a whole pretty much reflects what we all think about the guy and his tactics. To sum it up from where I am standing: Great knives, but greater ego. It will pass.
 
Good posts by Dan and Jeff.

Time to lock it up. I think everyone had a chance to express their feelings on what to do and not to do concerning advertising.
