Our Spring Works on the ranch last weekend:

Steve taking attendance after we made our first circle. Horsewright knife and sheath and suspenders too. Funny thing out of the whole crew he was the only one not wearing a Horsewright belt:

Our daughter Smoke has hers on while she's talking with mom:

It’s also not quite my style.
We have a booth at an antique mall we resell vintage clothing and other stuff and we generally do pretty good with quality hats like this. So it should go to a good home.

Ice Tigre I have one of those Rabbitfur Flying Helmets Needed it this winter as it dipped to minus 30C still minus at night and chill factor during day, it's almost May!

Thanks. Yes in this area its part of the tradition to dress up a bit for a branding. Many years ago we use to sell shirts, a very nice button down dress shirt that we were able to score a great price on and sell for $15. They were called "Branding Shirts", at that price ya could still look good and didn't care if the shirt got ripped or got blood or some cow guacamole on it. At that time we were Horsewright Clothing and Tack Co. Slowly over the years we've morphed more into just Horsewright. Anyhoo my son is running a ranch in the high desert of north east Nevada right now, a small place, (being a little facetious here), 7 miles wide and 31 miles long. He was receiving 5 truckloads of cattle last Wednesday morning at dawn. It was 15 degrees (F), he said it wasn't so bad his phone said it felt like 19!

For those that were wondering, yes I had a hat on last weekend:

And yes I had my knife on:

They just weren't in the same pic.

Michigan has two hat seasons, each very distinct from the other in nature. We're entering the warm hat season where ball caps rule and wool is placed on a high closet shelf.
This one works for me... both the hat and the knife.
