When I fired up the puter tonight the first thing I saw on the netscape communicator screen was a news headline about 9 states banning the Pledge of Allegience to the Flag of our good old USA. Makes me wonder how long it will be the good old USA. It made me so upset that I couldn't even make myself read the article.

It would appear that the 09-11-01 incident has already been forgotten. I will read the thing later to find out who the traitors are. I hope I'm not the only one that is going to feel a little sick over this. :grumpy:  :barf:

Sorry but the link I found doesn't work. But Pappy's right, 9 states in the western appeal court are to quit saying the pledge. The "under God" part is what they objected to.

I don't understand why so many people want to come to the US for the milk and honey and then try to change it the the same $hit the just left. It just doesn't make any sense. Of course Madeline O'Hare's crew doesn't help much either.

Whey don't they go someplace where they don't have any patriots.

Actually it's worse in Canada. (from what I hear) :)

It is just the last frantic flops of dying Democratic party that has been diven out of the political water. I suspect that most of this stuff will be restored in due time. Even if we have to line a few traitors up for a firing squad.

A firing squad using what?

After they grab the guns, they'll suddenly remember that bow and arrow were once tools of war. Broadheads will be banned, as well as all pulls heavier than 20/25 pounds. It'll be illegal to forge steel except in a supervised work environment, as you could make knives, axes, arrow points, spears, swords... of course you'll still be able to visit museums as see them behind inch thick tempered bulletproof glass.

Maybe I'll go take my medication.

If Rush Limbow takes 5 seconds to p#ss me off
and Howard Stern takes 6 seconds to p#ss me off
Does that make me a moderate?

IIRC that "In God We Trust" appears on US currency.

Does that mean money has been banned in those 9 states?

It's just another victory for the Extreme left wing Socialists that are really Communists that are trying to destroy our country from the inside.:grumpy:

That's the problem with having open borders, you let anyone in....

I am sure they are trying.....

Give them time and they will ban us too and export us sense we are a threat to their plans.

its only the god bit they are objecting to pappy, its happenin everywhere.
its the same the world over political correctness, such stupidity as post person, instead of post man, ect ect it makes yer want to puke.
but hey pappy each to there own mate, the worlds going to pot, just enjoy yourself pappy ,and thanks to you and your generations for enabling us all to live free lives in a time where freedom is often taken to much for granted.:)

That's why the Senate Sociocrats are stopping the Estrada nomination. They want ALL liberal judges, ACTIVIST liberal judges, to rule the country in the socialist beliefs, not according to the CONSTITUTION.

Think: the liberal court in California, the liberal Florida Supreme Court , they interpret/change the laws to meet their agenda/

:D LOL!!!

I'm not in favor of changing it, but why don't they just not say the "under God" part?!? All the rest of it is important too, don't throw out the whole thing because of 2 words!:grumpy:

I think this is another case of liberals being liberal. While I am personally against these rulings and especially the reasons behind them. I know that I personally didn't pledge allegiance to the flag starting in high school because I hadn't decided if I could stand by that promise. It took me a while to learn that the flag isn't the symbol of our government, but of our country. And that for the past 250 years brave men and women have sacrificing themselves for this country and for me. These judges are too caught up in law so that they forget what its all about. There is no freedom without sacrifice. Yet they want to ignore the sacrifice to ensure freedom?

The world is changing around us. Liberals have had 40 years of influence but that time is coming to an end. I think many of these decisions will be reversed in the near future. Look at history..

"Does that mean money has been banned in those 9 states? "

:D

But seriously....

They are just in the first part of that program.

Only the use of money in large ammounts is currently monitored and tracked. Your bank is supposed to report any "suspicious" transactions in the cause of preventing money laundering.

Try buying a bunch of gold without the government recording it in a database somewhere. Gold dealers with more than %50,000 yearly transactions are supposed to report transactions to the government in the cause of fighting terrorism.

So not yet banned, but I'm sure that the more things are done by pushing bits around in computers the happier the government is. That way they know about it. And access, or at least the ability to prevent the owner to access to it.

Not so long ago private ownership of gold was illegal.

Maybe the Rastafarians ARE right about this, afterall:rolleyes:

RE: Deleting the "under God" part, it's my understanding that isn't deemed adequate. Apparently there are some religions/sects that forbid adherants to pledge allegiance to secular entities. They seem to see the pledge as praying to a false god or falsely elevating the state to a level of their god(s) or something.

Jehova's Witnesses are one such group.

I don't follow your Rasta reference, though.

"Jehova's Witnesses are one such group."

Thought they were, but I wasn't positive and uncharacteristically avoided a potential :footinmou

"I don't follow your Rasta reference, though."

Came across some long rambly writings they used to leave around years ago. The basic premise, as I recall, was that the apocalyse would start as soon as all monetary transactions were done with computers since the number 666 was secretly programed into all computer chips.
