Have you found the one knife that does everything a knife should do....or

are you stilll Looking?

Any one out there find the one and still looking for something a little better....

I know how that goes....

Spyderco Sage 2 is my one, followed by the ESEE Izula, followed by the Delica 4 FFG.

Realistically, my Kershaw Scallion is perfect for my needs. However I'm wanting something a bit bigger, here's hoping that a Griptilian works out for me!

I just received my grail knife on Friday.
It's a 97 small regular sebenza in BG-42,
why Mr. Reeve ever switch from BG to S30v
I'll never know. This blade is twice as sharp as
my other sebbies. I absolutely love it.

For the time being, yes I have found the knife for me.

Not the best picture, but this knife will do absolutely everything I need a knife to do. It'll handle big jobs just as well as a locking one hand opener and the smaller pen blade is great for more delicate jobs.

It took some work to get as sharp as I like for sure, but after a few passes on the fine stones here and there, it's still shaving after some pretty hefty work.

The size, weight, blade shape and steel make this knife the perfect package for me, and it carries like a dream with those rounded bolsters.

Since I got this one, the only knife that's seen any carry, aside from my Vic Solder that never leaves my pocket, has been my RAT Izula.

sebenza insigno.

but that certainly does not mean i will ever stop looking and buying others.

No, I don't really know what is the one and only, perfect, grail of a knife.

I don't think it would even be much fun if I did, then I'd just save up and buy that knife and be done with the whole hobby.

And then what would I do? Stamps? :p

For EDC - Spyderco Delica 4

For the exploring, camping and hiking trips and things alike - ESEE RC-4

Yes, I have. My Shane Sibert MPR and my Hinderer XM-18.

But, that doesn't mean that I am going to stop buying knives. I LOVE knives.

harkamus, I've seen your knife so many times aroud here, I think your DDR is the ONE!! :D:D:thumbup:

I'm still looking for the one, even though I do have some really nice knives that I'm really happy with.

Sorry, but I don't think there is a perfect one (I also don't believe in "soulmates" :D). I guess the other possibility is that I simply haven't found it yet, although I don't think my wife will want to hear that! :p

I quite like it (understatement of the year) as you can tell by my posting it when a topic such as this pops up. I suppose I also post it lots because many people don't know about the HTM line. A little more exposure for DDR isn't a bad thing.

I heard that Chris Reeve was instrumental in the development of S30V. BG-42 was not developed as a knife steel, so the availability of sizes is not as great and there are not as many outlets.
