Have you handled a Spyderco lately?

25% of my collection is Spyderco.

This is an old picture BTW. I bought a few more since it was taken :)

Spyderco builds fantastic knives. Such varieties in size, shape, steel, scales, etc.
Regardless of personal preferences, they most likely have one you will love. To me, they make some perfect knives, and are all I would ever want from a folder.

My collection is mostly Benchmades but Spyderco is the next most. The only problem I have with Spyderco is that I've never gotten a "bad" one. The compression lock is ingenious and it is so simple. They make knives that just work and don't over complicate the design. And for the most part the prices are on point for the quality. Don't get me started on ergos. They seem to be masters of ergonomics. I've. Sent one Spyderco back in about 20 years. My D2 PM and that's only for resharpening and the have stripped screws replaced. They even replaced the clip without being asked.

This is another reason to love Spyderco. To be a huge company with sales worldwide, but the owner actually reads and responds to enthusiasts is just awesome.

I am such a fan of the knives, I would wear a shirt or hat that says ‘Spyderco for life’🤣
Minor correction, Spyderco is a company with huge reach, but is actually pretty small. Sal never wanted it to get giant, according to his past comments.

5 years and doesn't know spyderco has a sub forum here? 🤣

Correction taken! I simply mean how many knives they sell/sold and how Sal is still so present. He must be extremely busy, and I think it is awesome. Seeing him post replies to questions and comments here means a lot to me. A customer for life!😀

I generally do not like most Spyderco designs, that being said, the Gayle Bradley 2 is one of my favorite designs.
I wish the scales were flush with the liners at the edges, it bugs me when they are designed that way, I have had a Kizer Beigleter 2 for about a year that’s the same way, I thought I would get used to it, but no luck yet, it still bothers me enough that I am considering taking it to the grinder.

I bought 7 or 8 spydies years ago when they were somewhat affordable. The waved Endura gets some pocket time for walks and road trips. My OD Urban is the only other one that ever gets touched. It's very pocketable, but probably not as utilitarian as numerous other slipjoints in the boxes, bags, drawers, toolbox or whever else they are.
