Haven't been here long, but a few observations...

It's the way of the Blade, some are sharper than others...

Its just like anywhere you go, most people are great to deal with, and of course there are a-holes. Don't let the few a-holes here get you down, most people here are the nicest you will find around.

They just leave you hanging, not responding to the offer that has been made to buy their item with so much as a "no, thanks" or "I'll do it if you pay shipping", or, "get stuffed, I don't like the way you type", nothing.
No reply at all to an offer.

I just read almost all of your posts and you seem to spend all of your time here, as a new member, attempting to trade or wanting to buy certain knives.

There's noting wrong with that you have the proper membership level to do buy and sell, whatever.

Want to buy and want to trade sections have never produced much for me and don't get the kind of action that the "for sale" sections do.

In the couple of threads where you actually said you'd buy it - I don't know how that turned out for you. If they went through, make sure to leave positive feedback and ask for it from your seller or buyer or trading partner and your feedback numbers will rise.

If you have read much here, you might have read threads & posts where members don't want to do business with new members of low or no feedback. Also viewing them as potential problems, knife flippers, flaw hiders and a myriad of all sort of no-good-nics.

Having said that, I hope things et better for you - I'm sure if you did more posting outside of the buy, sell, trade, bitching areas, your exposure as a member would go way up and might result in a lot more positive responses to your actions in the marketplace.

I hope you didn't find any of my post offensive and I wish you the best of luck with your future endeavors here on BF. See you on the boards!

megaglide. i see your problem. you dont have any friends in your friends list yet :p :D. about your avitar, is the points cover on a bike you have or one you had?

No, Don, they were ignoring me long before that.
Maybe it's my aftershave...

Well Dave, could be the newby thing I suppose. No matter how many hours are logged on other forums, that don't count for much when you show up at a new place.

One thing is for sure, this place doesn't suffer for lack of posting.

Hang in there man, they will warm up to you soon enough I am betting.

In the meantime, got words of advice on how to cure this knife addiction problem I recently aquired??

That's what I'm talking about. Get out on the General Discussion board and ask a dumb question - or a smart one - or answer somebody elses.

Gets your post count up, people begin remembering your username etc.. Friend requests start popping up here and there and you kind of elbow your way into the community faster than just hanging out in the sales & trading sections. Just my $.02 :)

No clue.
I've only had mine for a little over 40 years.
You have any luck, lemme know though, eh? :D

Unfortunately, I'm an admin on another, unrelated forum where I've asked and answered 38,000 + dumb questions (OK, about half that was Q&A related. The rest was just outright mocking.) in the past few years, so time's kinda tight for a lot of schmoozing elsewhere, although I have talked to some good folks here.
I like Balisongs and Spyderco's, and this seemed like the place to buy and or sell a few until I'm all happy for awhile. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Thanks to everybody for the input, though!
