Having headaches again!

uncle Alan: Thank you kindly!! Your thoughts and prayers are truely and deeply appreciated!!! God bless you!

I AM doing a bit better. I wanted to make that understood. Before the meds. I was starting to get a wee bit better. I don't think I was clear on that. I still have the dang headache, but the intensity has lessened. It is STILL there, and doesn't go away..... YET. THANK YOU all!!

TKC not heard from you, that headache saga is bad.Sometimes I've had a migraine with vomiting, stars in the eyes and the pain is so vile you really feel like wanting to top yourself! the aftermath is extreme weakness too.Odd thing is,when I've got a migraine on, the pets (cats and rabbit)all climb up on the bed to stay with me,the family stays well clear.Maybe animals have more wiseness than we like to admit? As for doctors, they're a bit like cars: some good, some total rubbish and ALL expensive.I feel they are dedicated to ill health which is why they hand out expensive dope or pester you to have radiation full scans. Inner strength is the only strength worth having! Get well soon.

I still have the bloddy thing. Although, at times, it IS a wee bit better.

I will say that I learned something new about my headache recently. We took a flight to FL. up in the air, I had complete relief from it. HOWEVER, when we were decending, the pain came back with a vengence!!! I was really miserable for a day and a half. We fly back on Friday.

I'm not a doctor but I know how you feel. What you wrote above sounds like sinus trouble, and everything else you've written sounds like someone who is generally just wound too tight. I hope you start to feel better soon.

Knife Collector!!
What a crime. I just found this thread and I had NO idea you were suffering so. You know you are my collecting hero!:) I can't believe you have suffered so long. I bother you with pictures of my knife collection all the while you never mentioned that you were desperately in need of prayers!:grumpy:
We specialize in prayers answered in our home!
It's like a pipeline to Jesus himself. We pray and get our prayers answered. I assume we can do the same for you. It always works for us, and we hate being selfish. You will be in our daily prayers at once.
What's up with that air flight eh? You were in a pressurized cabin and your headache went away. Sounds like a thing doctors should know about. I hate pain. I had double knee surgery November of 05 they diagnosed that I had lost all the cartilage in both knees. They cleaned out the debris and told me that from this moment on it will only deteriorate. I need two new knees but am too young yet to get them. Mainly because they have a user life of 6-8 years. Surgery can only be done two times. I plan to live more than the next 16 years. I have been on 10/325 percocet and 40 mg. oxycodone ever since.
Not a good thing. SO I can appreciate your pain. That is the one prayer we can't seem to get a answer for. But through medication I do have my prayers answered I guess. All I know is we feel for you and your affliction and will pray for you daily.Best of luck my friend. You are in our thoughts.

Peace.

So sorry this is still going on.

Obviously, living on a plane at 30,000 feet is no solution, but have you discussed this experience with a doctor who will actually listen?

There must be something about the environment at 30kft in a plane that helped you. Lower pressure, drier air, perhaps higher )2 content, something!!

Don't give up and just 'live with it.' Just keep 'pushing' at the problem until it yields!

I've had that experience recently. After running through 10 doctors, found one with a brain AND an ear. Now, I'm getting better treatment and better quality of life myself. Never give up, never surrender. :D

And in the meantime, I (and many others) will pray for you.

Thanks OldPhysics! I assure you that I am very tenacious. I assure you, I will not give up. Thanks for the prayers! I am sending you some too OP.

My goodness I can't even imagine what you are going through,TKC.I am glad you are feeling a little better. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Andy K

Thanks Andy K.

I had another bad night last night; this blessed headache woke me up with such bad pain. I feel miserable today.

Thanks for the prayers, TKC. Rest assured, I'm in good shape.

It's you we must be concerned about. Thinking of you in Ole Virginny...

Well, here is an update! I have had this bloody headache for 1 year now. I went to see my Neurologist in Boston today, and here is a report:
Well, we just got back home from seeing the Neurologist in Boston.
1. He is upping the meds. again. We hope that this will work. And he gave me suppositories for an anti-emetic. The headache makes me puke a lot!!
2. Sending me for a CT with contrast of the sinusues on the 13th of this month.
3. Referring me a headache specialist at Faulkner. A) It is NOT Dr. Bana. (As an aside, Dr. Bana is NO LONGER the Director of the headache clinic!!) B. It is someone that my Neurologist knows of and he says she is an expert in headaches. I trust my Neurologist!!!
4. See Dr. Bienfang, the neuroopthamlogist in his office, to rule out PTC.
I have appointments for all of the above!!
I am hoping that Dr. Feske CAN get them moved up!!!

I want to thank you all for your prayers and support!!

The prayers and support will keep on coming.

A year is much too long to suffer such pain. At least things seem to be in motion.
