Wrap the handle in some Jack Pyke Camo Gun Tape when it’s going to see some action or when I’m planning on jumping over fences etc.. The finish on my hawk is textured for better grip, but it does get a few scratches every now and then, I put some bees wax and I dab some black shoe grease on the wood, then rub it down, the scratches just blend in to the finish.

Its plastic, but it sure scares some of the guys at the air port. :)

I should have stated it different its rubber panel Sayoc but the metal finish is getting beat up. I think Im going to start using petrolem jelly after I degrease it I did this on USN-1 I used to carry.

Well the blade finish does wear down whit time, after a bit of use it gets a very nice patina to it. I like the worn down look. The finish I got on mine was a Caswell finish, did you get the one whit the protective coating? If sow I have one whit a multicam finish that is also scratched up, its normal, but the good side of it is that is won't rust.

You can have it refinished.

In the shade a little but my main combo, a CS trail hawk, ESEE Izula II and BRKT Bravo Necker II

I was in the army a few years ago; I belong to the GAFES (Air Mobile Group). After that I got selected to become part of a federal program to reorganize police forces at a state level all over the country.

Right now I’m working in Baja, I’m in charge of providing security for the Governor and I’m on the regional anti organized crime task force. We have a lot of work to do. But it’s getting better, at least in the north western part of the country.

I got my first taste of Mr. Winkler’s tomahawks form my time that I spent training whit the department of the Navy a few years back, does navy guys are the best in my humble opinion.

That is quite impressive. Sounds like an intense job. I was wondering what the grenades are for but now I think I know.:D

Looking at the Winkler hawks... I might as well be looking at porn. DO WANT!!! Ugh my wallet HATES this forum. :grumpy:

What do you like about the Cold Steel Urban Pal?

Its exactly the size of most of my belt buckles, behind which I hide it. It the CS Mini pal. I attaché that paracord piece to one of my belt loops so when I pull it out the sheath stays dangling from the belt loop. It’s easily sharpened which I like and it’s not double edged, that is also a plus when you need to cut something and you put your thumb on the back of the blade for added support. I really carry it mostly as a tool and a last ditch SD knife.
