Lol, outside vancouver BC . We have black bears all over down there but this guy was a big boy. I regularly trek into the back country mountains up towards squamish so im familiar with the big cats and bears.. not talking polar bear size lol and it would have been smaller as far as grizzlys go but still a massive creature no doubt !! Must have been close to a 800 lbs at least. Not a city dump bear ill put it that way

Lol. I live in kenai, and worked with fish and game for 5 years. Biggest bear I've seen stood up and was well over 10 foot tall. She also had 4 cubs. We didn't mess with her.

Yesterday's adventures after work.

First pictures were right behind the high line. The prints were not from the bear we saw but it strolled right over them 10 mins after we took the pics. Then we headed to a waterfall formed after all the lava cooled. The lake was dammed off by the lava from the origional location of the Nass river before the eruption.

Found the porcupine again in the same spot this morning, a view from my bucket truck in the village and a quick stop at a fishing cove just outside the village on the ocean
