I bought a bunch of thse on Ebay before things dried up and have been waiting for a BK1 Brute from one vendor.

After a phone call and finding out he was waiting to fill back orders and had over sold the BK1 on Ebay he asured me he would have the BK1 in a week or so.

No knife, no reply to email and now the Vendor has 5 more BK1's listed, 4 BK7's and I didn't check the numbers on the rest of the line....Funny how no one has them other than this guy but he doesn't ship anything after you buy it.

Beware Cherokee Outpost on Ebay if buying BT&K....He appears to be selling knives he hopes to get while filling over sold orders from the past that he couldn't fill then.

Cherokee outpost is very slow and has poor communications but he did finally come through on my 2 RES's I ordered and they were about $120 (each) under retail. It took about a month to receive them. He is a knife dealer and I think he orders after he sells thus the long wait.

I wouldn't think ordering BK&T knives after you had them sold would be a good business practice in light of the companies position theses days.

He was filling previously sold knives when myself and 4 others bought 5 last month off Ebay alone and he has 5 more listed and that is just the BK1 Brute Model.

I can see one vendor getting a slew of Negative feedback real quick with this sell it and I will order them later business practice and I have a feeling I will be one of them.

My experience was about a half dozen phone calls/ messages and 3 Emails before we finally contacted him in person. He never responded to any Emails or returned any calls. When we got in touch with him it was over 2 weeks into the order and the knives had not cleared customs yet (coming from italy). After about a month and many false promises I was on the verge of doing a CC dispute to get the charges reversed. Luckily the knives came and hopefully he will come through for you. However, if he is still listing them as in stock and not shipping I would do the CC dispute if I were you. I know I will think long and hard before ordering through him again. He has some good prices but its not worth the risk.
Have you checked www.1sks.com they have them listed and my experience with them has always been positive.
Good luck-
John

Oh well, I got tired of phone calls going to VM, emails that didn't get answered and bought one elsewhere.

I filed a dispute and he never bother to answer Paypal either so I filed a claim to get funds back. He left Neg Feed Back like I was in the wrong and I responded to his Neg Feed Back that he didn't ship, does have anything to ship and had relisted.....

I just checked and Cherokee Outpost Pulled the 5 available BK1's they had listed and bumped the priced to retail and above, BK3 is now $119.00 where others are selling for $60.00. BK2's are now $79.00....Funny what one will do when one gets their hand caught in the cookie jar.

A few more have also bailed and opted to file cliams to get funds back and I think a few more will follow.

Sad that a Camillus/BT&K dealer would be selling things they don't have with Camillus having other issues to deal with at the present.

CRKS,

I think I bought my BK9, 2 and 10 from you if I recall correctly. Great service and super fast shipping.

Bought my 7 and 9 from you a couple of months ago.

And I also want to say: great service and super fast shipping.

Beck's Cutlery in Cary, NC has one BK-5 in their display case plus, I think BK-2,7,9, and 10.

Thanks!!!

whitedoor, I called Beck's and scored the BK-5.

Last one that Ron Beck had.

Next time I'm in Ann Arbor, I want to buy you a beer.

(How in the world did you know about a display case in Cary, NC? :D)

A great BF transaction!

I can't help but think it's karma.

After Becker discontinued the knife and supplies had dwindled, Botach had a single BK-5 left. I turned a BF member onto the deal, and he just about freaked. In the interim, I've become a fan of the Becker line and have long wished I could find a BK-5 of my own.

Glad you got the knife, Guyon. Beck's Cutlery is quite an amazing place for sporting and kitchen knives, and the Beck's are great people. I stop in to droll about twice a year while visiting my wife's family in the area. Our route from Michigan also takes us close to New Graham Pharmacy and past a Rocky Boot outlet. It can be a very expensive trip.

Not to plug an ebay seller but one seller has 3 Becker's for sale now. He has a BK-1, BK-9 Desert Tan, and a BK-7. I have bought from this seller before and he is a real straight shooter. He is not a store, just a collector. Nice guy to do business with.

There is an inexpensive BK1 on ebay now. I wrote to the seller asking if he would give me a good buy it now price, as I want to give this to my brother-in-law for christmas. What he did was sell me an extra one outright, for just what he was asking for the item on ebay. $99 plus postage.
