Heads up for anyone looking to buy BK&T Knives

Just wanted to add a little bit to this thread. All the BK&T knives made at Camillus were of the highest quality and standards. Now that Camillus has practically stopped production of the Becker line, please keep this in mind. The designs were and are Ethan Becker's. I have to believe that Ethan Becker will find another cutlery to produce his knives. Granted there may be an initial shortage of knives but they are not going away. Just some food for thought.
 
Thankyou Knifeworker. I also understand that Jerry Fisk is pursueing his own designs outside of Camillus, so one day before long they may make a reappearance. Has Cold Steel made any comment about seeking a U.S. producer for their patterns?

Another BK5 just popped up on Ebay.....Someone buy it and save me the money please.

I would most likely pay way to much for a early BT&K Khukuri.

You know this isn't gonna be any fun if Becker just sales the name to a new company to make them.....Other than they where the semi original ones.

No guarantee as to quality though. I actually hope someone does keep making the Becker line at a good price.

Last three places I've tried to order a BK-7 have been out of stock.
 
Hey Codger! Not sure what Cold Steel's plans are except to "beat feet" out of Camillus. I've heard several different stories and not sure what the truth is.
 
FYI: Cherokee Outpost is not a Camillus Dealer. I checked the Camillus website.

Have any of you dealt wth Chesnut Ridge Knife Shop? I ran a search on GB&U and didn't find anything.
 
I posted about Cherokee outpost in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Cliff's note version: " This guys sells knives that he does not have a in the hopes that they will come in once someone buys them from him." His communication is awful as well. My advices is to buy somewhere else.

Well, I'm expecting a couple of packages from Chestnut Ridge this week.

So far, though, communication has been excellent, and there are no complaints. I'll post again when the knives arrive.

I bought 3 of the ones I have plus a few folders some time back from Chestnut Ridge......Way fast shipping, 1 package wasn't expected until a Saturday and it was here on Thursday.

My dealing with Cherokee Outpost have left my with 10 ignored emails, out$100.00 for over a month, filed a Dispute that was ignored, changed Dispute into a Claim with Paypal that has been ignored, left Negitive FB on Ebay that of course was met with C-O's Neg FB for me....I guess I bought something from the wrong folks:barf:

I still don't has a knife or my money back and yesterday I get this asking me to withdraw the Negative FB.

Sorry about starting this post in the Camillus forum. With the feeding frenzy to find the remaining BT&K knives I didn't want others to stumble across what appear to be the Mother Lode and buy a bunch only to be out a bunch of money waiting on something that didn't exist.

cherokee outpost is horrible dont do business with them I am out over $150.00 and no bk7's. Chestnut ridge knife shop is exellent though. they ship extremely fast and there products are high quality. If you ordered a bk9 from him it will be the bk9hh model with the sharpened top of the blade.
